With a bit of luck she should be able to go back to the woods that is always my aim, yes they do become imprinted but getting out in the bigger pen they soon start to shy away from you. Just got another kitten last night very young eyes not open as yet he will certainly be a challenge but we will give it our best shot,

Well done Jerry, and best of luck with the new one. It seems to have been a good breeding season for squirrels generally. We are having reports of reds spreading out from their strongholds and populating areas where they have not been seen for some time. Keep up the good work.

How would the anti shooting brigade ever understand how you could post pictures of the dead greys which you have shot and then others showing your reared red?

That would really freak out the daily mail that would.

Good job keep up the hard work of rearing this wonderful reds.

Get the numbers up so they start moving south more please :good:

Well done, keep up the good work, out of interest what happened to the parents of the two you mention ?

Dont know mate , My guess is and a guess at that is the mother was maybe carrying them to move them ? dropped them for some reason and has not returned in both cases the kittens were left for several hrs before being picked up , shame really better off with there mothers but suppose thats nature and they at least stand a bit of a chance now being hand reared
