Can't let facts get in the way of another perfect platform for our UKIP Brownshirts, sorry, UKIP Tattersallshirts to get worked up about can we?

Yes, thank God it was the 'UKIP Tattersallshirts' who actually presented the FACTS, as opposed to those nasty 'Tory lifting shirts' who were blaming the 'benefit scroungers'.

How do you manage it, you can't force people to stop overeating.

Education would be the main thing, regulating what goes into pre-prepared foods, confectionary, etc, mandating that work canteens serve a balanced diet and same with schools, colleges, uni's etc.

I agree that people will do what people want to do, but if we can try and put in place nanny state legislation about smoking with kids in cars then we can have nanny state legislation about what we eat.

KW - I do understand what the reference to the Sturmabteilung implies (hence why I used it!) however I will apologise directly if you feel this was intended as a personal slur but as I have posted previously I find the correlation with the rise of UKIP valid and in my opinion holding UKIP membership before all these new "Johnny come lately's " , especially on here, is already deemed to be a badge of honour - membership card no 7 anyone?

Anyone fancy running a sweep for which poor ****** will be Nigel's Ernst Rohm when he actually might get hold of some power?

Isn't it strange that the few of us who regularly state we are ukip supporters manage to hold reasoned debates without accusations and smears, but others like yourself resort to these tactics so quickly.

Possibly but you will find most obese people know exactly what they are eating, and what's in it. Some people find fat birds attractive and feed them up.

I'm not quite sure that colour suits her (so last week) and really she should tone it down add some vertical stripes and maybe lengthen the hem a bit too!

I wondered who would throw that grenade into the forum Keg :)

I think as KW said the ruling on the Danish fat chap was fairly specific so it's not an open invitation for abuse of the system, although I suspect that it wont be too long before there is a test case in the UK. I have seen a few things fairly recently of fat people looking for protection under the DDA in work places.

This ruling from the ECJ that puts further pressure on our domestic immigration policies. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30528189

Those pesky Euro's do seem determined to intensify this debate in the UK.

Or do sums :whistling:

Now Now :lol::lol:

I couldn't resist throwing this one in, it was on a lot of news sites, depending on which one you read depends on which slant they put on it. I try and read various sites- gets a more balanced view, would hate to be narrow minded.... :innocent::lol:

The Daily Mail like the Telegraph seem hell bent on alienating half their readership if the comments sections are anything to go by.

Folks, even KW and i can argue politely... let's try and keep it civil.

I felt that i was just being honest, the post was ignorant, foolish, and just plain rude, im a fat lad but it stops me from doing nothing whatsoever, i work full time, i like hunting, i like kayaking, i wouldnt be seen dead in MacDonalds or greggs, i never have been and never will be lazy so to say that all fat folks are is, ignorant, foolish, and rude.

Im not being confrontational, im just stating facts that i know to be true.

The problem is when we try to talk about a subject like this just read the headlines and think that they now it all from what I have heard on the radio the judgment only applies to a small number of people who have had lots of problems not just over eating if you have got things wrong with you that makes it hard for you to take exorcizes then you are unless you do not eat at all you will put waight on Add to this all of the hidden sugar that is put in most of our food it is not hard to see why some people get fat

True but you can stop them eating vast amounts of sugar without realising it.

KW

True, and palm oil, high fructose corn syrup etc etc..

There you have it, children are encouraged to eat the above poisons, they are wrapped in glossy cool packaging. millions are spent on advertising, children become lethargic and exercise less, become dependent on the said treat and so on, much like the advertisements that encouraged the earlier generations to smoke and drink, is it a disability yes, as much as being involved in an accident

I have three daughters ,from two marriages. The eldest twos mother has been obese for twenty years, my daughters are both tall and a good healthy weight. They play netball five times a week and watch what they eat - exclusively down to seeing how their mum struggles to get off the sofa, has to take up extra seating on public transport etc. I was truly saddened when my eldest (18) said she was ashamed to be seen with her mum and her new fellow ( he's 28 stone ). Only good to come out of it is they stay healthy
