it has to be the Sparrow they say that they are not doing so well but I have got loads of them in my back garden they live in the roof of the factory at the bottom of my garden I just love to site and watch them I have some big bushes that they can get inside away from the big birds. when I go out walking the dog I think it is Black birds singing that always puts a smile on my face.

The thugs of the bird table. I love seeing them on the wing, en masse, pre roost. Magical. How do they never fly into each other? Which bird leads the acrobatics? How can they afford to waste so much energy? So many questions!

They have character, they are cheeky and I love the colour of their feathers when the sun catches them. We used to get so many but they've really dropped in numbers over the last few years.

I usually have a squadron floating about my feeders at this time of year but they havent tuned up yet.

Wren is my fave songbird, record occupancy this year in my coconut nests, at least six broods fledged.

I thought you would have favored a nutcase oops nuthatch.
