feaks
Just a guess, but I reckon someone's force won't give it for .22.
robbiep
Just a guess, but I reckon someone's force won't give it for .22. The HO handbook specifically says that 22RF can be suitable for fox, in experienced hands and at short ranges. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/417199/Guidance_on_Firearms_Licensing_Law_v13.pdf Page 109, 13.25, paragraph 2. Longbower
".22 Rf, can be fatal at more than a mile", according to the powers that be. So if that' s the case a high velocity .22LR round at 150 mtrs should do the ''Fox job, if properly placed shouldn't it ??

Longbower
I don't hunt with a Rimfire, but its interesting to watch ;iraqveteran888 How far will a .22rf kill? And 22 lethality 300yd ballistic tests on the same round.
Dougy
I don't hunt with a Rimfire, but its interesting to watch ;iraqveteran888 How far will a .22rf kill? And 22 lethality 300yd ballistic tests on the same round. Longbower, Its fine reading stuff on paper specially looking at graphs and ballistic charts, energy retention bumph and all those numbers. BUT a thing to be aware of is the accuracy of the little 22lr round at 150, Trust me and umpteen others who have experience shooting 22lr. To hit a Fox at 150yds with a 22lr and kill may be possible, but consistently ? that will be a no so It is not or should not be taken.
