Pay rise for MPs

Looks like being 10%+, 2% if you're lucky for everyone else.

Great, snouts in the trough again.

This comes up every year, and the PM-of-the-day always says that he doesn't agree with it, but it has been forced on them etc etc.

Yeah, right .... I don't hear too many of them refusing it, though. :whistling::no:

Sadly, it's not just the lot in Westminster either...Here in Wales:

'Assembly members will receive a £10,000 pay rise after next year's assembly election, but some have said they will not accept it.

Backbenchers' £54,000 pay will increase to £64,000 in May 2016 and is meant to take account of further devolution.

The 18.5% pay rise was confirmed on Friday by the body which sets AMs' pay and allowances.

The increase, first proposed six months ago, will cost taxpayers about £700,000 more next year.

The pay rise has been criticised by trade unions and all parties.

First Minister Carwyn Jones previously said he could not see how Labour could support the increase.

His salary will rise to £140,000, while his cabinet members will receive £100,000.'

From the BBC website on 22 May.

Perhaps we should get a bunch of "Jonny Foreigners" on the cheap from down the car wash to do the job instead. After all, they couldn't be any worse than the UKIP lot many of you voted for.

Perhaps you’re right. The bunch in the Welsh Assembly shouldn’t be allowed to run a coconut shy never mind a multi billion pounds Government Department, or Principality for that matter.

Perhaps so, but UKIP aren't in power, the Tories are, so perhaps the question should be; could they 'be any worse than the Tory lot many of you voted for'.....again, despite having a long and proven track recorded history of noses in troughs ? :) Nice work if you can get it I must admit.

They preach restraint, but can't spell it. They are pathetic.

Agreed, its a gravy train of the most despicable kind

They are all the blinking same - I was so tempted to "edit" this, to make my point, but given we all know, it wasn't worth doing
