haggis
Does anyone use just one gun for all?
team tractor
Yep my lanber sporting delux with 30" barrels steel proofed and multi choke. £550 over 5 years ago and I love it. Had a sgc for 14 years now and many shotguns but I'm happy with this Edited November 1, 2015 by team tractor

Gunman
Yes you can . Having said that I advocate Transit vans ,good driving position can be used for the school run , going for a drive in the country as well as being able to carry a ton should it be necessary . Why restrict yourself ?
Scully
My Winchester 101's have often been used for all the purposes you mention above.
team tractor
How does it get on wildfolwing? No problem as it's also 3" chamber . I've shot many ducks/ geese with it but this gun has shot Wood pigeon Rabbit Crow Fox Rats Woodcock Clays What more could I ask of it
fenboy
You can , but a O/U is not going to make the perfect foreshore gun , yes of course it will shoot geese and ducks same as it would shoot anything you are pointing it at , but unless you only intend to shoot 3" stuff choices are limited , you have to be more aware of the barrels when reloading as its easy to drop them in the mud and they are more prone to rust than a synthetic semi auto . Of course if you " wildfowling " is standing around a flight pond then a O/U or SxS will do fine .
BrowningB525
I use my Browning B525 sporter for everything. It has a 3" chamber which is ok for wildfowling. It is arguably heavy for walked up, but at least it doesn't kick you about as much.
B25Modelman
There is something to say for the Maxus and fowling, it holds 3 cartridges.
Grandalf
If the game shooting world didn't frown upon the use of semi auto's so much I would only use my Benelli. As it is I only use my o/u for game.
Alycidon
Most mid weight O/Us will cover those bases. A

Scully
Benelli M2. All rounder? On our driven days perhaps, but not on many I would think.
Old farrier
Hi Yes you could have a around gun but hard to find and having read the thread I'm struggling to see why If you chose to do all the shooting disciplines to get the best from the sport you should have a few I can only see cost as a issue Anyway just found my badminton racket so off for a game of tennis 😚😋😋 All the best Of

B25Modelman
All rounder? On our driven days perhaps, but not on many I would think. I wonder if Duncan Lawton would have been turned away back in the 80/90's.

Stonepark
Can use 1 gun for all as Practically, a 26inch barrel 3 inch chamber 12 bore auto multichoke is best all round gun. However, once you take peoples prejudices into account {if you are shooting game days in company etc) over safety and sportsmanship, 12bore 28 or 30 inch barrel. 3 inch ou or sxs multichoke is probably best bet. figgy
Pick any game gun or clay gun and yes you can use it for all. But it won't be the best tool for the job.
