plank06
Hi, I'm just after some recommendations of rounds which group well/ are accurate in your CZ. Another member has already suggested SK subs which I'm going to try.

pat g
Hi, I'm just after some recommendations of rounds which group well/ are accurate in your CZ. Another member has already suggested SK subs which I'm going to try. Which ever one your individual rifle prefers. Sk subs are brilliant. Try RWS, Eleys, Winchesters, and Fiocchi and then decide which suits your rifle best and gives the best results. Have fun ATB, Pat

Albert 888
Cz 455 varmint 16",Sak mod. 5 shot group off my elbows today at 20yards,with sk standard plus. Sk subs are very good too. Winchester subs have had me nearly selling my rifle a couple of times.
Albert 888
Shoot your groups after a couple of warm up rounds. 5 shot group show more than 3 shot groups. If possible clean your rifle when you change your ammo and let the barrel foul up a bit. I won't clean my bore untill I change ammo or accuracy goes off. Also as said all rifles aren't the same. Good luck and happy shooting, you can't beat the feeling when you get 5 shots in one hole.

oldypigeonpopper
hello, my .22 455 is good with RWS subs and i bought some for £5 x
Vince Green
The other thing that I usually say at about this stage in any discussion on ammo is, it depends on what you can get hold of locally. Start working your way through the list, one box at a time. The good news is CZs are not fussy
Outdoorsman
I dont know if any one else knows about this or wether its just for the u.s market but the cz website says not to use subs as there barrels are choked to .211 Just saw the date lmao
oowee
Interesting thread. With my new cz and Winchester subs i was starting to get some good groups till i had to swap the scope to air rifle. First time i have put a scope on a rifle and fired from the start. Could not believe how far off the scope could be. Also how small a .22rf round is and so easy to drop.
YODI
I'm interested in this too, I know they are all different but I am interested in other opinions.I collected my CZ455 last week, and these were the rounds the shop gave me, on a try and return basis.I haven't managed to make a good decision yet and I've only tested the Winchesters and Remingtons, but the Winchesters are winning at the moment. The Winchesters (42 gr) are £11 x 100, RWS (40 gr) £11 x 100 and Remingtons (38 gr) £6 x 100 Edited December 27, 2015 by YODI
Whitebridges
RWS subs take some beating in my Annie. They offer a lower power ( -10%) according to a reviewer. Not a bad thing as a lot of shooters say .22 LR over penetrates. http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/guns/ammunition/review-subsonic-22lr-ammunition-39882 You might be interested in a test on the HV stuff: http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/reviews/ammunition/22-lr-high-velocity-ammo-test

7daysinaweek
i use remington subsonics out of my cz 452 22 silhouette, superb results with this round, only put one box of winns through it, still good grouping but not as good as the remys so stuck with them and never changed. did put a handfull of cci through it at one time but found them very tight in breech and poor grouping. oowee
So why are we not cleaning barrels. Its good news for me as i try to avoid cleaning my 12g at every opportunity. I thought with a rifle it would pay to keep the rifling clean to better grip the bullet?

I thought with a rifle it would pay to keep the rifling clean to better grip the bullet? I clean my .22 regularly but some people never do. Its a bit of a quirky subject because .22 barrels rust just as quickly as any other.
