Hope the sodding weather lets up or it'll be another day shooting cut short. Had a let day cancelled beginning of month, been one of the worst years I can remember. Out on clays Sunday I agree Figgy, its been bleddy raining for the last 2-3 months . I just hope its not raining this weekend . I'm planning on going up to my new stalking grounds at Hawick. figgy Posted December 26, 2015 Report Share Posted December 26, 2015 (edited) Just got back in from a hard days beating for ten birds with 11 guns in some of the soggiest fields I've ever had to walk. Went through two sets of so called waterproof clothing today and soaked to the skin. The cocker and both my son and myself are knackered, I'm going for a hot shower before heading to the pub for food and a few pints with the Syndicate They should have done the three wood drives and called it a day after an early lunch. Personally I was stuck at work today, back in tomorrow and Monday, back in on New years eve till 10pm bit today was double time! You cover up for the rain, then sweat like mad with heat, can't believe how warm it is. Any way ended up with 7 pheasant, 2 wood cock, 1 snipe and a pigeon. Between 4 of us. We walked the boundaries, my brother missed a Cock, I killed one and we shared a squirrel that died in a hail of shot!
