wacker
Hi, need to buy some new shooting trousers, was thinking about the Eton trousers. What are your views on them, or the rest of the trouser range?

Monkey Nuts
Yep, I have a pair of the keepers and they're superb. A good friend of mine who works in the shooting industry swears by his, they are 5 years old, tatty but still going strong! Seeland gear is great IMO, I have a fleece and a polar jacket and it's all quality stuff. Edited December 31, 2015 by Monkey Nuts

Scully
I must have bought a bad pair some years ago, or they just hadn't been treated. I was on a walked up shoot and while going through a field of fodder beet after the rain, my trousers soaked up every last bit of moisture in the field (or so it seemed) and I was soaked to the skin. I didn't have a receipt so couldn't return them and kept them for dry weather use after that, for which they were too warm really. I've never bought another pair to see if they've improved, but they must have done as many folk seem to like them. My favourites are Laksen. Dougy
I have only ever had DeerHunter which I have found reliable, the Ram I think with the reinforced knee and seat areas, always been waterproof and warm, I recently bought a pair of le- Chameau trousers not tested them as much as the DeerHunter yet, but don't seem too bad so far. bluesj
Had a pair of seeland keeper trousers for about 6 years, the only complaint i have with them is that the pocket lining has worn out
malkiserow
I use Jahtijakt trousers and really rate them
Redgum
I bought the seeland marsh trousers after being recommended by a mate. They are good quality and tough but from new a bit rustley for stalking trousers, though you only notice this when its dead quiet, with a bit of wind and dead leaves underfoot it makes little difference, if any thing it makes you walk a bit more steadily. My mates pair are a few years old and have lost the rustle completely. They really had a good test over the Christmas break when I was invited out for a days flyfishing, very horrible day but windproof dry and breathable. Alex C
Every item of Seeland clothing or the wellies I have bough has fallen to bits in less than a year. Save your money and spend it on something better Seeland customer service is a total joke as well, couldn't give a hoot and will not stand by their shoddy products
silver pigeon69
I think it depends on what your intended use is. I have had two pairs of Keepers. The first lasted less than a year, the stiching in the crotch came apart during a days beating(luckily i wasnt wearing the wifes pink knickers that day! ). This is the 2nd season for the second pair and they look frayed and bobbled/pulled after the first few days use and the pockets on the right leg are torn. i will NOT buy another pair! Only bought the second pair online, as i was told the Marsh were the Keepers However, two friends have Marsh trousers which look and feel 100 times stronger. They have been useing them for 2+ years beating and they still look brand new and i will be investing in some. oowee
My seeland jacket is just hopeless its as waterproof as blotting paper. I am looking at the shooter king gear as a replacement.
jimmyb79
If you haven't already, take a look at Shooterking clothing. They have a good range of trousers matching (imho) Harkila quality but for a fraction of the price. I've got a 'Greenland' suit which is 100% cordura and entirely waterproof. Comes with a 5 year warranty and the customer service is excellent.
