Roy King
Webley vulcan. Brought for by my dad for my 7th or 8th birthday still have it. Still works and holds nice groupings at 10 ft haha Was that the Webley that had to barrels? or is that another one. my old school chum had a Webley that came with two interchangeable barrels [not the service air rifle]. greenergp
Was that the Webley that had to barrels? or is that another one. my old school chum had a Webley that came with two interchangeable barrels [not the service air rifle]. I think it was the Webley Hawk that came with a .22 and a .177, i dunno how they worked out the power, the .22 should have been over 12 ft lbs or maybe they were both ****
Patrol
My son started with a baikal side by side brand new hammer gun in 16 gauge, nearly white beech type of stock, he used it for pigeon shooting to good effect. I picked up some 3 shot cartridges from France in a bright green case, They turned out to be fantastic wildfowling shells, I've many happy memories of him pulling down some very tall wigeon with that gun, Pre bismuth / steel by many years He still now shoots his second new gun a trusty Winchester 101 in 20 bore that he's had for donkeys years, he reckons if it ain't broke don't try and mend it Me I've closed my hands over one two more than that - like you do. moondoggy
A cheap air rifle of unknown make when I was a young boy. Followed by a .177 ASI Sniper Repeater. First shotgun bought brand new just after my 15th birthday in 1974, was an AYA Yeoman side by side, bought from Duncan's Gunmakers in Hull for £67 with a cheap slip thrown in. The_Engineer
I actually bought my first brand new gun today: a browning 725 Sporter Grade 5. Delighted with it after spending an aftenoon breaking it in. Edited June 4, 2016 by The_Engineer

FalconFN
I honestly can't imagine a time when I'd buy a new gun. But then I'm tighter than a tight thing wrapped in a rubber band.
