KFC
Let's hope enough people can see past the lies because I dread to think what's in store if the remain vote wins. http://campaignforanindependentbritain.org.uk/peer-highlights-fear-tactics-used-in-1975-referendum-on-40th-anniversary/

Royboy
I'm really stuck on how to vote, I'm not well up on politics and such but still always vote. I've heard so many different things on both sides. Is it true farmers will loose subs if we leave ? Another I heard was BAE might close because the Germans and French have a lot to do with the euro fighter ?

Another I heard was BAE might close because the Germans and French have a lot to do with the euro fighter ? Right, it's simple. if farmers lose subsidies they go bust, if they go bust we have no food .............. do you really think any government would let possible voters starve? No ? Didn't think so. Ref the Euro fighter, do you think the French and germans will suddenly tool up and train workers elsewhere overnight .............. no? didn't think so. Plus the fact they still want to sell BMW's and Citroens over here

I don't think that the euro fighter project is in any danger, if it was the joint French aircraft carrier would be as well and to go one step further why not disband NATO. It is highly unlikely to happen and if it does the UK could just build our own.

I wouldn't entertain trying to tell you which way you should vote, but I know a lot of farmers and the vast majority of those have said they will be voting to leave. They are probably the only ones that have time to go to NFU meetings and influence the stuff that the NFU says. I've heard a lot of talk about British dairy farmers struggling because of imported EU milk. Most of my neighbours have given up milking cows. fitzy
Basically it comes down whether you want to live in a democracy with an accountable government or not. Thousands of people gave their lives for freedom and democracy yet people are happy to give it away in fear that their flights to Spain may be more expensive next year. Find it absolutely tragic the readiness of people to surrender soverenty and democracy.
fortune
What I don't understand is how the polls show Close levels. I would think that the members on here represent a fair cross section of the population and at work we deal with a lot of the general public. The amount of people that are saying out is massively overwhelmingly out. So how do the poles not show this? I do not browbeat people but I do try to convert any waverer to firstly vote on the day and to do their patriotic duty.

I've heard a lot of talk about British dairy farmers struggling because of imported EU milk. Most of my neighbours have given up milking cows. I am a farmer employing EU crop pickers. They are not cheap, they are exactly the same price as British crop pickers. The big difference is they turn up and do the work, the British crop pickers are not very good at either. I would prefer to have British crop pickers but they are a waste of space. I have never been to an NFU meeting in my life nor do I know of any other farmer that has. The general consensus of farmers is that the NFU make up their own minds what policies to promote and farmers have little or no influence. Generally NFU is considered to mean No F Use. As far as I can make out the majority of farmers are saying they will vote leave. I am.
chris1961
The trouble is that to many lies have been told by people who have a vested interests why can't the government just tell the truth for once then again if they did we probably wouldn't believe them I'm for out by the way

KFC
I only know of one person voting to stay in. My brother in law, but he's Scottish, lives in Scotland and has always supported SNP. Can't chose your relatives. I too do not understand how they continually say it's a close fight. Maybe it's to scare people into actually voting in case their side loses so they can say it was a good turnout.
kingo15
It's not going to be an overnight thing. It will take time to leave anyway. Whether it's correct or not I was told 3-5 years so if that is true we won't combust overnight. So if the vote to leave wins then we won't see a change for ages if what I have been told is correct
Granett
Yeah, it's just conspiratorial idiots who are voting to remain. See who else is as stupid and conniving as Stephen Hawking and the IFS here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endorsements_in_the_United_Kingdom_European_Union_membership_referendum%2C_2016?wprov=sfla1 Trust in Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, and Rupert Murdoch - would they ever do anyone wrong? UKPoacher
Oddschecker now shows 7 to 4 leave 8 to 15 remain. That is almost the reverse of when the the referendum was announced. I think that the British public have seen through the lies and veiled threats spouted by the remain camp. Brits don't like to be patronised or bullied.
