wokkywokky
A friend and I were discussing crow callers the other day so as I have been looking at various videos and products. Whilst searching I came across a pigeon caller: http://m.uttings.co.uk/p103802-acme-500-pigeon-call-cw6719/ Has anyone tried one of these? What are your views? It does everything, and more, than the Sam Neyt one, which costs a lot more. The secret with this caller is to practice until you get it right. So many people have rubbished the caller because they can't get the sound/s right. I have used mine to call in Crows, Jackdaws, Rooks and even Seagulls( just to prove I could do it)

TIGHTCHOKE
What sort of range will it pull pigeons from? Further than you can shoot them, so at least 700 yards!

Cranfield
Apart from cooing when at rest, I have never heard pigeons make a noise. They are not the noisy social bird like the corvids (which is why the Primos crow callers work well). A pigeon caller is not something I have ever felt I need. Penelope
In all seriousness, I have mouth called, a la Percy Edwards, the occasional woody during spring/early summer in woods. They came on in that wonderful bouncy display flight. The rhythm is 'Bet' ty, my toe's bleed 'ing' with some spittle in you mouth to give a bit of rasp. I remember watching a TV show as a kid with ol' Percy on it where he gave that exact description and call.

Is that purely for Essex pigeons Penelope , or would a Norfolk accent work as well , perhaps one of our counties top Pigeon boys ( Motty ) would tell if he has any bleed " ing " words that he use to call them in

A1Decoy
Hi All, A little off topic but heard someone mention the Primos Crow call, we stock them and have sold tons of them over the last couple of months and had really good feedback on them. 5% off for all pigeon watch members
