Retsdon
'He's a shameful disgrace. Traitor.' More name calling? Not helpful, really. Why not engage and make constructive suggestions instead? Genuinely, why not?
inthedark
Just stating my opinion, which is formed mainly from his recent refusal to condemn the activities of the IRA. Not helpful to what? I am engaging. I constructively suggest to everyone that reads this to vote on 08/06/17 in a manner that ensures Jeremy Corbyn will not take a position of power. So the above are facts as I see them. Genuinely, they are. No name calling this time, although I may have described him as an idiot recently, which I reckon is fair play if he trusts Diane Abbot. It's like a comedy show. Retsdon
'which is formed mainly from his recent refusal to condemn the activities of the IRA.' Do you want to reference that? Because really, it's about time we stopped lying, and putting words into people's mouths to slander them. God knows, the world generally is a damned mess at the moment. Why would you add to the confusion?

Because really, it's about time we stopped lying, and putting words into people's mouths to slander them. God knows, the world generally is a damned mess at the moment. Why would you add to the confusion? I watched him being interviewed on TV very recently during which he was asked directly whether he condemned the activities of the IRA during the 'troubles'. He ducked the question, it was re phrased in 3 or 4 ways and guess what? He still ducked the question. No ambiguity, no confusion. Would you like to reference 'it's about time we stopped lying' please?
inthedark
I thought not. Gordon R
Retsdon - thanks for your life story, but it just makes it even more unclear why you are on a quest for "the truth". You don't appear to recognise it.You profess to have no bias for Corbyn, but hold him up as a man of vison, when he is merely an idiot. He tries to airbrush his past associations with known terrorists. His trusty "friend" Abbott has explained that, although he attended the same meetings and shared the stage with IRA personnel, he has never actually met any of them. Your view of the truth seems to co-incide with Corbyn's. Years ago I worked in tbe action filing shop in Chubbs of Edgeware when old Fred Buller had the business. My colleagues were Boss and Purdy men. Dave had been foreman at Boss and he once made a copy of a - filed every single part by hand - Navy Colt. We tested it under the stairs and accidentally shot a hedgehog. Driven hedgehog were the standard joke thefeafter.Post Chubbs? Went to Aberdeen and threw drill pipe around for 5 years. Then took over the family farm for about 6 before the Tories presided over an interest rate increase that put me on the street. Sailed other peoples boats around the globe for a bit, then went to Africa. Stayed there 7 years, then onwards. And onwards. Owned a fishing tackle shop for a while in that period. As far as the history reference goes, tbat was my undergraduate degree at the School of Slavonic & East European Studies ...74-77. It's all University College these days..You? What's your history? Happy to oblige:- My BA was in Politics, but my MA was actually History. I spent some time as an apprentice at Holland and Holland. After mastering barrel and action work,I did specialised repairs for some years. I too worked in the North Sea oil fields rising to Rig Manager, before sailing a yacht, single handed, around the World. I eventually fulfilled a lifelong ambition by opening a gun shop. You might have heard of it - Worldwide Arms Limited (Taunton) or WALT. Although I no longer own the shop, WALT is very much a going concern. Gordon R
Retsdon seems to have gone missing - very odd. When he re-surfaces, he will be pleased to know that Corbyn was telling the truth about not meeting the IRA. As he values the truth so highly, this conclusive evidence of Corbyn's innocence should put the matter to rest - once and for all.

ShootingEgg
I am a business owner and some things are very simple that people refuse to see. If my company tax goes up so do my prices, everyone will be paying more. I am Glad that I no longer run my own business, what corbyn is going to do would of sunk my business, and it will cripple the majority of small businesses, and possibly effect medium ones, large companies will just move. ShootingEgg
'I think Retsdon might be along to give his Corbyn / Abbott account of why these countries suffered. It is clearly the fault of the UK - as Corbyn has already explained.' Corbyn was categorical in blaming the Manchester bomber. So how about you actually quote what Corbyn said? Clue - he didn't blame the UK. My politics? Honestly, I don't care a damn about Corbyn. Couldn't care less about him, or May, or any of the rest of the season people. But I was brought up to respect truth. And whether you like him or not, when he talks about terrorisnm, Corbyn is just saying what everybody knows to be true. Fomenting wars abroad invites blowback. It's not exactly rocket science. Yet it was labour under blair who put this country into iraq with bush and his merry men. Didn't see corbyn jumping up and down trying to stop it then. Gordon R
But I was brought up to respect truth. Oh dear. Pity the upbringing didn't include recognising the truth. Corbyn could school him on that aspect.

Mice!
The worrying thing is in Blackpool at the weekend and plenty of vote labour placards out Bit behind on the weekends news been busy but how can Corbyn say he never met anyone from the ira when he quite clearly did. How can he give a speech like that right after the attack in Manchester, his own Manchester mayor disagrees with him straight away??
Retsdon
Yet it was labour under blair who put this country into iraq with bush and his merry men. Didn't see corbyn jumping up and down trying to stop it then. In 2003 Jeremy Corbyn gave a rousing speech to thousands of protesters at an anti-Iraq War rally in central London. The then-backbencher lambasted the then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair for pursuing the war in Iraq. called for a vote in Parliament “not to legitimise war” but to give him the opportunity to vote against it. “For those who say that this is a necessary and just conflict because it will bring about peace and security, September 11 was a dreadful event, 8,000 deaths in Afghanistan brought back none of those who died in the World Trade Centre. “Thousands more deaths in Iraq will not make things right. “It will set off a spiral of conflict, of hate, of misery, of desperation that will fuel the wars, the conflict, the terrorism, the depression and the misery of future generations.” http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/jeremy-corbyn Here you go. ditchman
dosnt matter what we think of corbyn's lot.....................................there are a lot of people out there starting to believe him....and that is worrying.....TM the PM might end up with an even smaller majority...........then there will be a slight re-assurgance in the UKIP vote which will ammount to zero seats for them....a wasted vote...... it really worries me in this so called "age of information"...........where everyone has their fingertips on their smart devices.......how utterly misinformed they are..and how unable they are to see through deception and actually make their own mind up......and not because some politican spouts off some cool unfounded retoric... a few weeks ago ...the media was going thro' our fair cities asking people if they new who was Teresa May....who was Jemery Corbyn.....it was truly amazing to hear their answers...so many of them handnt a clue who they were....those that HAD heard of them said they thought they were on the telly............. Lloyd90
Ditchman, the amount of people sharing Corbyn rubbish on social networking is unbelievable! There plenty of people out there thinking "I'm going to get free education/childcare/etc if they win". They're not concerned how it's going to be paid for, or that Labour plunge the country into more and more debt! They're the same people who are bright enough to kit out their entire house at Brighthouse and have everything they want on credit! I saw a study the other day saying the majority of 18-28 year olds are spending 110% of their yearly income, work that one out!

Lloyd90
But they are the Labour Party's target voters I'm just thinking that the majority of those are the type who'd never vote for the conservatives regardless, therefore they won't 'swing' many seats. It's normally middle ground voters who swing it, and I think most have enough sense to see Corbyns going to be a joke! Let's hope so anyways!
