JDog
Sadly I have no pigeon shooting exploits to report. This part of the Wolds has very few pigeons to shoot at the moment. Until things improve I will have to post on other matters. Does anyone know what this bird is?

Old Boggy
Yep, English partridge. Perdix Perdix Haven`t shot one of those for years, but saw a small covey on Thursday when out and about. Also, earlier in the year saw one doing the `wounded act` to distract predators from the nest. Many years ago, used to walk up the stubbles (that`s when they were left to overwinter) for the then `common` or English partridge. Those days sadly won`t return. NatureBoy
+1 Good to see more English about this year. Lot of wild pheasants doing well to. To many buzzards about my way. Hitting them when they squat on the stubble's. NB
