Wasabi
Got a valiant as well. Works well and seems to keep the room a more even temperature.
ips
Haven't got one as my burner puts enough heat out without one but the ones I have seen work well

Konnie
Have a Phoenix 4 blade one, we felt it made a difference Paid about £50-60 Edited October 16, 2017 by Konnie
al4x
Have an eBay cheapie and it's on its 6th year. Works really well and definitely helps to move air from in the fireplace our wood burner is built into

billytheghillie
I just got one from Amazon on a lighting deal £34. It came today, and is on the stove now, Whooo, what a difference, it certainly circulates the heat in my living room and sends it through to the hall. Dougy
I got 1 from the GF. We put a cloths horse in front loaded with washing and it's like a gale. Soon dries the cloths.
rimfire4969
We have a fan and after the woodburner has been on a while if the fan is pointing in my direction I have to move it to point elsewhere, it moves hot air around very well. (Bit like PW at times) How heat makes it work is just pure witchcraft.
Scotty1980
I don't use them as I have coal fires but both my father and brother use them on their burners and think their great. One paid a lot and one paid a little. The more expensive one seems better made and moves air around a lot better.
John_R
I have an eco-fan and can feel the difference. Years ago I used to just put an electric fan on a slow setting to push the warm air around. The eco-fan is tidier, is perhaps not as powerful, but a far neater and better looking method! arm3000gt
Off the back of this thread I purchased a cheap VonHaus sp fan from amazon. I was a bit concerned after reading some poor reviews but thought I'd give it a go. Seems to be ok for the money, only time will tell ifit conks out in a couple of months. Certainly not as bad as some of the reviews make out, I can certainly feel air flow. I did fancy one of the stirling engine ones Vulcan I think it's called. That was until I saw the price tag, might have to save up a while for that little luxury.
Strimmer
I just chuck a fan heater aiming under radiator with the heat turned off. Unsightly but very effective. Learnt that living in a static caravan in 90s
