Have you got any idea on the time period they were operating?

Edit, just seen your other post, only thing I can find is links to a Sainsbury's, plenty of adverts for game.

no they where red paper rolled turned with only the shot size printed on the overshot card ,we could buy them lose instead of having to buy a full box which was handy for a 13yr old on limited spending money .

From what I've read elsewhere it seems like you could actually made your cartridges pay for themselves back then too.

I was always told the stocking contained a lump of coal too 😂
