Houseplant
I think I’m done, my gun cabinet contains: Bolt action 22LR Semi-auto 12G Bolt action 7mm08 These guns cover almost every situation I’m likely to find myself in. If I won the lottery and had time on my hands, I’d probably add a smaller calibre centrefire for long distance rabbits and an ultra short barrel 300 blackout rifle of some description for bush work with subsonic rounds. What’s your “complete” collection?

Houseplant
There is the saying ""Beware the man with one gun...". I'm not sure where it originates, but there's some sense in it (within reason of course).

robbiep
PCP air rifle 22LR (NV) rabbiting and ratting gun 223 for foxing 308 deer rifle 12 bore O/U for clays, corvid and pigeon days and occasional foxing 20 bore S/S as my game gun 410 (moderated) for squirrels and rats around rearing pens Funnily enough, that covers everything in the cabinets - apart from SWMBO's 20 bore O/U. I have heard this on several occations Or beware of the man that can use any gun All caliber rifles have a purpose All guage shotguns have a purpose You would'nt shoot a deer with a .22lr You would'nt use your expensive game gun to go wildfowling on salty marshes Hence i have guns to cover all aspects of shooting All have a purpose One gun could not serve all

Salop Matt
I have: Sub 12ftlb .177 FAC Air .22 (30ftlb) 12bore OU 20bore OU Am tempted by a 12bore Semi-Auto for vermin around the shoot though. But also have a long desire for a second hang gd5 Browning in 12bore ! With somewhere to use one I would love a .22 hornet as I could enjoy reloading too then. I could have got a smaller calibre for goats. Most people here seem to use .223 and I want a dedicated subsonic centrefire, but neither would make the goats any deader. I would have bought the 7mm08 for deer stalking anyway, so would have ended up with three rifles instead of the one that I have. I'm happy with that decision, but each to their own. Harnser
To keep it to an absolute minimum . .22 rimfire ,30 Calibre rifle for deer ,12 gauge shotgun and .22 air rifle . That would cover everything that I would need . harnser
