Diver One
I use a combination of Linisher, 10mm air driven belt sander, air angled die grinder with Roloc discs.....they certainly take the tedium out of the "roughing out stage"

I think that would be a nick in the eyes of the local constabulary. I made a "foraging stick" Just a normal antler thumb stick but the antler head was removable and had a mushroom picking blade embedded into it. I bored the stick out to accommodate the blade, But comes under the category of a concealed blade the same as a sword stick, and hence frowned upon by the law. Shame because I thought it was a damn fine idea. Cracking work by the way as usual Mr D. Edited June 19, 2019 by fatchap

You and Ditchy have shamed me into doing my front hedge now that the resident blackbird has bought her brood off. Did it on Saturday morning, comprising of some hawthorn. The day after, and ever since, I`ve come out in a rash on arms and body, due I`m sure to the dreaded brown tailed moth caterpillars. Previously, I`d cut out the tents a couple of months ago and thought that`s the last of those little critters. How wrong was I ? Inspected the hedge before I started just in case but found two or three AFTER I`d finished. I`m hoping that the antihistamine tablets and calomine stuff will reduce the itching, but having now googled about the rash, I now understand that it can last for months. I find filing quite therapeutic, but I must admit that I am looking forward to setting up my old man's lathe/mill in place of my old lathe, which should take out some of the donkey work. I still can't be ***** to finish to your ( or my father's) standards
