gamekeeper1960
Hi All have just had an interesting conversation with eBay as to why they have the selling of shotgun chokes only to be told they have been removed as they have deemed them to be dangerous to members and breech they health and safety policy . Do I think that this is more to do with management having an agenda against shooters maybe as their policy states that a choke is a working part of a firearm. .. Farmboy91
I had something similar with gumtree, I had a wanted add up for old cartridges, had one the month before and it was fine, ran the 30 days had a few replies etc. When I came to post it again it was taken down, I contacted them questioning this, showing them a screen shot of the previous ad, and quite clearly stating in the add that I was buying not selling. I questioned their field sports policy and got no reply. They then came to me saying they had reviewed it and the add would be put back up by which point I'd had enough and politey told them to stick there website and removed myself from it. I know, Im only one in however many millions of users but out of principal I won't use them again. Ebay can be extremely funny about taut sort of thing too. I use PW and freeads for pretty much everything shooting related now. Ive seen listings for air gun parts on ebay titled as 'large part' which usually is a barrel or whatever, this seems to be a way around ebays rules as guns are being sold in peices that way. I saw a 10 shot mag tube for a remy 1100 on there the other day.
rimfire4969
I put my Caesar Guerini Teague chokes on eBay after I got not joy on here. They were up for a few days then taken down, stating the same as above. My argument was they are no different to a small metal pipe and certainly not dangerous. No joy and no answer from them. CaptC
As above, I had some Beretta chokes taken off eBay as "not their policy" - What is ridiculous is that I/we can buy a fully powered spear gun, crossbow bolts (and "mini children's crossbows) Purely a case of prejudice against anything "shooting" orientated. Wingman
This happened to me and even worse they still charged the fees for listing the chokes! I don’t use eBay now for anything shooting related it’s always this site for me.
TIGHTCHOKE
I stopped using Ebay a couple of years ago, they have their own agenda and it doesn't fit in with my thoughts!
gamekeeper1960
Does seem they do need educating on what is or is a working part ....

gamekeeper1960
And they I'm sure they do but the point is a choke is not a working part of a firearm so should be aloud to be sold by their own rules so double standards as far as I'm concerned and needs sorting. .. mel b3
My good lady sells bullet wallets and choke wallets ,pellet pouches etc, on ebay, from time to time they get pulled , each time she has to go to ebay and explain the situation , then she just re lists them. Gordon R
Most list the chokes as "tubes" or another vague description - any shooter knows what they really are.
Smokersmith
I believe it's ignorance on their part, not malice against shooting sports. You can get quite a few other gun parts on there .. stocks, beads, forends etc .. I can understand why they don't sell barrels, but the chokes decision is weird.
