Hand made in Birmingham. Two and a half inch chambers 28 inch fluid steel barrels black powder only proofed. Rebounding locks. Barrels are good. I intend it to be my black powder gun. As Mr Wild died around 1897 the gun would have been made by Rowland Watson. The name Wild was kept on for a few years. Lovely to shoot original black powder from a black powder gun. The boom, foot of flame and smoke. Lovely it's what shooting is all about.ย Edited December 25, 2019 by DUNKS

London Best
I shotย some partridges and pheasant this last week with a black powder gun and two people asked me about โtiming the shotโ and โworking out the leadโ. As far as I was concerned I had done nothing different to when using a normal nitro cartridge.

London Best
It probably helps that I am never conscious of giving a game bird any lead anyway.ย Strangely, I often see lead shooting clays (and usually miss).
