WalkedUp
You can buy rolls of paper 841mm wide for A0 plotters. Or wall paper. https://www.plot-it.co.uk/c/consumables/cad_plotter_media/cad_plotter_paper/841mm_a0_plotter_paper_rolls

Rob85
Could be good discounts on Christmas wrapping paper right now if you want to make some, mind you as its so thin and light it can be a pain in the backside on a breezy day as I found out last time

Walker570
I use wallpaper and pin it to a ply backboard. Cheap and cheerful.
Smokersmith
Pallet slip sheets work really well if you can get hold of some.

It is an error to pattern a gun by using an aiming mark with a existing pre-drawn circle around it. Wallpaper, or lining paper, tacked to a pallet. Sorry nor was I! Anywhere you have a suitable backstop away from footpaths etc! On one of your shooting permissions normally should be able to find somewhere! lekyrog
Thanks for that guys. Lining paper is the way go go. Very cheep. I've got a pallet I will set up on a hill side on my permission. Very safe.
wymberley
If you've not done this before, a tip assuming that you're checking the pattern density and not gun fit - its better to do one thing at a time unless you have a proper 6ft square plate.. You're going to need an aiming point - on average this is best placed a couple of inches below centre - which if left in place when assessing the pattern will do its damnedest to convince your subconscious that things are better than they are. Use some tape after getting shot of most of the 'sticky' so that it just stays in place - if it falls off when the pellets strike, so much the better as it saves you removing it. Now you can look at the pattern and assess its centre for your 30" circle without having your eyes swayed because this does not coincide with your aiming point or the mean point of impact that you prefer if different.
