Well I will not be dashing back to normal, probably for several months. Just not worth the risk so they can relax as many restrictions as they want but there is a long way to go in my book. I am always optimistic about life but not stupid and won’t be in big crowds or pubs for the foreseeable and I know many who share my views.

so yes good news that there is light at the end of the tunnel but it remains but a glimmer for now.

Just common sense .....very uncommon these days.  BUT, we can still go out freely and enjoy ourselves how we wish using what bit of common sense we may have.

I can drive 70 miles to one of my areas without the fear of some overzealous copper jumping on me.  At least it should stop all this pathetic huggin and cheek kissing every time you meet or depart from someones company.  I do think the pubs and eating establishments should be opened without delay along with all the businesses, hair dressers etc etc.  Get back to as near normal as we can.  All of those in the upper age group should be double jabbed by the end of March and this is where the major death numbers have occurred.

I would like to know how many of the total deaths have been caued by the virus being caught when in hospital for another illness.  Report of an 88year old this last week, recovering from his illness and caught the covid in hospital which killed him.   Questions need to be asked.

Look forward to seeing you soon Mate!:good:

Don't forget to give him a hug , and a little peck on the cheek . He loves it when I do it , but we always have to check that nobody is looking , as he gets a little bashful 😅

In your dreams. Anyway I don't have long enough arms  :yay:

And I'm sure you copped a feel as I turned away 😅.

I'm not a great fan of the modern hugging trend ,  I'm happy to hug family , but I'd rather just a polite handshake with everyone else .

Lucky they were not in Roath Park Cardiff or they would have needed a boat

Don't worry - I am sure that your local council (WAG) will be throwing money at that because its in walking distance of their offices....

If you can't guess I am from N.Wales 😎

July, till things are open possibly.  On what planet is this good news?   They announce this 'data not dates' policy, then immediately tell us dates way out in the future which will not be brought forward, even if the data allows it.  Just how stupid do they think we are?

Light at the end of the tunnel, already looking like holidays abroad are on the cards and life as normal, numbers are coming down, vaccinations are going up and the vaccine data coming in from Israel is incredibly promising...

I'm of the camp that the lockdowns have been too much and things should be open already but at least Boris has come to his senses (or he's just read the bank statement and realised it can't go on much longer), either way onwards and upwards, hopefully on the range at Bisley at the end of March :D

What?  COVID will not be going away.  Eventually, beligerantly, the government has accepted this, but as yet there are scant clues as to what they will mandate us to do differently.

And as for the light at the end of tunnel - just how many times have the goalposts been shifted?   This latest hunk of meat for the masses - back to normal by July - will not come to pass.  Doubtless SAGE will come up with yet another BS model predicting 91k deaths (as allegedly prevented Boris from going faster this time), completely uncosted of course, and we'll remain in limbo.

The harsh reality is, our leaders are hopelessly addicted to lockdowns due to completely unchallenged backside-covering career-civil servants insisting  on them.  Meanwhile, our economy is shot, and thousands will die from entirely preventable illnesses and suicide, and a generation of kids will grow up hopelessly mal-adjusted to the real world.

I'm afraid the only way out of this lunacy will be mass law-breaking, where we adopt a somewhat Mediterranean approach to the law - more optional guidance than anything else.  How us as shooters are supposed to square that with our requirement to be whiter than white to retain our tickets I don't know, but I'd start thinking in these terms if I were you.  Viz., soon all but the most easily cowed in society will be effectively ignoring the rules. What do I, as a an FAC/SGC holder. feel about that?

Before you deride me for condoning law-breaking, let me be clear, I'm not.  I'm saying this, in my mind, is a likely outcome of current government policy.  The sooner we wrestle with that question, the better to avert the need to answer it.

Why...why cant you do that now?

My woodland is in Wales,  and I can't really use sharpening a stick as justification to travel there . To be honest , I could probably blag it if I should get a tug by the police ,  but I wouldn't because going there wouldn't be the fair , or responsible,  thing to do really.

I can’t wait to hear Mark Dripfords roadmap

1.This is not a race

2.I would rather see vaccines not being given than to see vaccinators sitting down doing nothing

3.Barbershops & hairdresser can reopen when people’s hair touch the ground

4. pubs can reopen in 2025 ( as I am tea total & only eat cheese)

5. UK & foreign holidays are banned until 2030 ( as I am a miserable **** )

6. Even tho 90% of the population of Wales will have been vaccinated by July it still won’t be safe to open till everyone is on the dole.

never mind the local elections are just around the corner then look out 🤗🤗🤗
