Aled
Got the snip 10 years ago, was in moderate pain for 1 day, I did take Ibuprofen though, was back on the cross trainer 3 days later.
Shambam1962
I had my vasectomy when I was 39 years old after my 2 daughters were born. My wife suffered 2 previous miscarriages and I wasn’t prepared to have my wife suffer any further miscarriages. Had the procedure done on a Friday afternoon, and was back in work on the Saturday morning, with no ill effects. My mate is 6’2” and built like a brick out house was off work with us for 8 days and was quite ill. It affects people differently, but I was great and avoided heavy lifting for a week. When I had the procedure done the doctor asked if he could have a few students in to see the procedure being done, and I said yes that’s okay. I had 5 students plus the medical team, and I half expected the cleaner to come in and take a look at what was going on. You have an injection into each testicle and a small incision and a quick snip and it’s all done. After having the snip one of the lads in work said he was thinking about having it done and asked me about it. I told him they give you the pieces they cut out as a souvenir and said I would bring mine in to show him the following day. The following morning whilst in the canteen he came onto me and asked if I brought the bits in, and I said yes and proceeded to put the sample bottle on the table with 2 softened pieces of pasta twirls in water. The old machinist sitting opposite me spat his tea over the table, and said bloody hell there can’t be anything left. It was only 4 years later, he learnt what was actually in the sample bottle. la bala
Had it done way back when I was a young-un. Had it done on a Saturday afternoon, tried it out Sunday night to see if it still worked.

When my German Shepherd had his nuts off it stopped him humping everything in sight. Including me. I know it’s a different procedure on humans but I plan on having the snip in a few years and don’t want to loose my mojo!
steve_b_wales
Mine was done at a 'cottage hospital' by a trainee surgeon who was supposed to wait until his mentor arrived. After cutting me twice and me nearly jumping off the operating table, he decided to give me a general anaesthetic, despite me warning him of a problem this may cause. I ended up with many stitches and a day later a huge haematoma in my 'sack'. After consulting a solicitor, I ended up having a very nice large sum after sueing the NHS for negligence. I won't have it done again that's for sure!!!!
amateur
.. and @steve_b_wales defines the problem in one. It depends on the quality and competence of the surgeon. I had mine done painlessly 40 years ago by a guy who specialised in the technique. I drove myself home afterwards and drove to Birmingham the next day to attend a board meeting. My neighbour, who opted for a general surgeon ended up with two coconut sized balls and a month off work until the swelling went down. Scully
Had mine done in 2000. Walked like John Wayne for the rest of the day but back at work next day. 👍

welsh1
Had the snip about 25 years ago ached a bit, but everytime i took a step it felt like someone was tugging one of my testicles, i endured it for a week and popped to see my doctor, he told me it looked like they had done a stich to deep and it had attached the inner sack to the outer sack and was tugging everystep i took, he took the stitches out because i looked healed and i walked out with a smile on my face and no tugging lol. arjimlad
@Shambam1962 😂 👍 love the souvenir story. Wish I'd thought of doing that!
steve_b_wales
After I had the 'snip' and was healed, I then had to produce 'samples' so that they could be tested to see if they were 'clear'. I took a 1ltr clear plastic container with slightly diluted wallpaper paste to my local hospital and handed it to the very young and pretty receptionist, and said, 'it took me a while but here's my sample for testing'! Her face went very red!

Shambam1962
When the doctor said he was going to inject me in the testicles, he said as he was doing it, it’s only a little ***** ! I answered back saying, Yes it’s the only one I have. And he just smiled.

For some reason all the lads in Blackpool where I worked had it done under a general, their doctors seemed to think being relaxed meant things would go smoother. I was a walk in, walk out, quite comical having the nurse trying to distract me with small talk while the bloke between my legs is cutting snipping and stitching, one side definitely pulled more than the other 😯 made my toes curl. Yep. Nearly fired me socks across the theatre when the first one went in! 😂Doc asked me how I was feeling about five minutes in, I told him I felt like someone had just kicked me in the trossachs! He told me I’d feel like that for the rest of the day. He was right! 👍 2 hours ago, steve_b_wales said: 2 hours later, she said it was okay. 😀 Not quite, a bit too tender for that!
