Miserableolgit
Only heat on here is in the bathroom as the resident women folk were complaining about it being chilly in there.

Downforce
These two lions were completely oblivious to us until our guides foot touched the ground next to the Toyota (to recover a dropped camera) when they both turned into super alert hunt mode Edited September 28 by Downforce

That's where the heat pump solution falls apart.

Robden
I won't be cold (meaning, wearing extra clothes indoors) and, I won't be hungry. If I am, I'll give up shooting before anything else. That was the deal made with SWMBO years ago. Although on my own now, I'm sticking with it.

marsh man
This morning was the first sharp frost we have had in places, it was 4 degrees in my motor when I went out around 7 30 , now I am back home I do like my home comforts so while having my breakfast and then a bath I have put the heating on for an hour , it will then be turned off before I head off out again and if I feel cold tonight I will put it back on again while I am doing my tea , a bit like Robden , while I can afford it , I won't sit here in the cold and I certainly won't go hungry . London Best
Went away 27th for a day’s shooting on 28th. Just returned today, 29th. Walked in at 12.30 and the temperature in our living room is 14.5 degrees. Might light the log burner tonight if it gets cold.

Not sure if all John Collier's windows were the same but the one we had in the town had a curved window which was the length of the shop and it was about four feet off the ground , I wondered if that was why they called it the window to watch .
