Saw on the news tonight a load of 4 x 4s went over farmland in the Fens area and caused massive damage to crops and the fields , one farmer they interviewed had to lock himself and his family in his farmhouse for fear of going out after them , three times he rang the police and no one came out as the police said they didn't have the resources to attend , where were the rural crime teams ?

P S You might be able to put a link on about it .   MM

Obviously ITV seem to be better at gaining evidence than the police in this case:whistling:

Next you'll say the internet runs up hill.

Funny you should say that .......

But back to the point, they will know who the offenders are, but can't make any charges stick.  They use firearms against deer round here and the police do nothing - don't even turn out.

would have involved gunpowder and lead.............

And hopefully just the right amount of lead ( sight picture )

my farmer mate was told rural crime squad only worked office hours Monday to Friday after they pinched his quad !

oh and they were based an hour away !

I saw this in the paper and was truly shocked at the absolutely appalling lack of any Police response, truly disgusting.  Amazing how a post on X can get you Jail within a day but this lot get off Scott free!  Welcome to Starmer's Britain.

In fairness to Starmer, this has been going on for years.

The problem here is you give people and their culture protected status (especially when their culture is crime) and it emboldens them. "It's part of my culture gov"

Not that it would stop them anyway, but it hasn't helped.

it also creates a two tiered society...

Admittedly, Labour and Starmer will probably make things worse, it is the Labour way after all.

Disgraceful.. If i was a farmer i would dig a trench across the gate way and prefab some mobile skids or ramp to allow access for tractors, [of course he shouldn't have to] maybe call in the army to clear the scum away. it would be a bit of practice for them..👍

If that happens it will just wreck more of the farmland.
