I have noticed that I have no trouble on my pixel phone or windows laptop, I clear cookies and browsing on both regularly.

on my galaxy 10 pad it was very slow, cleared browsing data and cookies and it's working faster.

The performance of your connection to the internet will be a significant factor in an individuals perception of the speed of this site - especially  with regard to something called 'latency' or the amount of time it takes for a request to leave your computer travel across the internet to the PW server and return data back to you.   If you have a slow connection or are sharing your connection with other devices then it is going to seem slow.

You could do a free Broadband speed test to get an idea of the available performance:

Ookla Speed Test

Mine looks like this:

The problem is intermittent for me,,,, and others too going by previous comments.

It's very fast for 4 - 5 minutes, then it goes extremely slow to load pages and go back on pages for approx 4 - 5 minutes. Then back to loading pages fast, and so on,,,,,

No other website I look at has the same issue as when looking on PW.

So a good assumption is that it is PW that has the issue, and it has nothing to do with overall Internet connection/speed etc.

just done a speed test , Download 299mps and upload 50.99 so no problem this end  , As before maybe the amount of guest's are slowing it down.

But,,,, the guest numbers don't change as much as the page loading slows down/speeds up 🤷 It is so regularly intermittent, I could time boiling an egg to it 😔

Well, I have just turned on the computer and signed on and at the moment it is working as it should.

Hopefully whatever has been done has solved it.

It would be nice to be told what the problem was though.

Today, so far, its working fine.

Yesterday was abysmal, took ages to refresh and load topics.

Everything else on my network works just fine.

Come on Pigeonwatch get this sorted out! It's been going on far too long.

Unfortunately that good service didn't last very long and things are now back to the "NEW NORMAL" of being very slow.
