Clearing a mates garage out and found an old sit on clay pigeon trap. He said to throw it in the scrap bin but it seems such a waste. If there’s anyone with a youngster just getting in to the sport then your welcome to it. Please don’t take it to make a few quid. Collection from Warwick only Ben

Two today. Oddly together in the same one cage trap. A mature male and a small male so we reckon that the large chased the small one in and both then were caught. Female in cage trap last week. So far sixteen this year. All trapped with fourteen being over maybe eight weeks then it all went quiet so reckon this is a new lot moved in to take up the vacant territory. They all get head shot in the trap with a .177 BSA PCP.

When running an expensive vehicle outside warranty, you are of course taking a risk. Things can go wrong, and some of them can be eye wateringly expensive - and have significant 'downtime'. On the other hand you may get nothing go wrong at all. I think you just need to weigh up the risks (likelihood of problem, cost and downtime) to be comfortable that they are acceptable to you.

Hi AJ The Rem Mag barrel is screw cut 14x1, I have a new Lawrence Precision Titanium mod which I’d sell for £150. I have a mag and a magnum bolt head also included for the 7mm. The barrel has fired less than 20 rounds. The bipod and adapter is not included. Regards Jon

At our local auction house ( Horners at Acle ) they charge you £10 for a gunsmith to inspect the gun before it is even entered , then it used to be £2 a entry for handling and cataloging , so far so bad and I believe the sale fees are around 20% on top of whatever it sell for , if it don't sell then you don't get your money back, hard luck , so if you sell a cheapish gun then you are going to end up with very little cash left over , I once done worse than that , the item I put in a general sale didn't sell the first week and it just managed to sell the second week , with it being entered two weeks I had to pay £4.00 plus the fees , the t v unit made a fiver and when I took my Yellow form in they said first the good news , your item sold , well what is the bad news , you owe us 86p , no wonder my bank book is nearly empty
