What have the Romans ever done for us?
Pushandpull replied to Conor O'Gorman's topic in General Shooting Matters
A quick look online shows no mention of non-lead ammunition at the Lancashire or Hampshire sites. Arran (not currently available) may well be different by now as it is a FLS lease, and they are going lead free - most FLS venison goes into the trade of course. -
I’m about 6 miles SE of Heathrow Airport. According to google about 2.75 hrs (163 miles) from you. I will be a bit nearer on Monday/Tuesday evenings as I’m in Burgh le Marsh, Lincs near Skegness …. But that’s still close to 2 hrs (85 miles) according to google .

Like health food, innit.

This. They also consume large quantities of fuel as you need at least 9-10 kW to run a hot water tank and a slack handful of radiators. Therefore you do need a big room. However, if you are doing building work anyway it is the ideal time to design it in.

Like marsh man, I also have not hit a 3 figure bag for some time, firstly pigeon number around here have been poor and secondly I have very little outlet for them but in your situation with a chiller and obviously an outlet, then well done on a very nice bag of pigeons, you must have had a fair few shots to hit that number and looking at all those pigeon made me think about the trek back to the car, hope it was not to far away.

"DavidBASC" was David Ilsley, Head of Sales and Marketing. He retired about a year ago after thirty odd years with BASC. -
I think it is simply that many of us do not have the correct app to allow it to play.
-
Lol! Will not play for me.

Something to think about. Re back boiler on woodstove , is location. These large stoves. Throw out some heat. Depends on room size . And check regs on how old your building is. And fitting of one .

Not a problem I’ll get on to it in office hours 😊👍 -
My grandfather bought the house I now live in, in 1967. I bought it off my aunt just 4 years ago and replaced the Crittal windows with double glazed.
-
Hi, where are you based?

I fondly remember in the early 1950’s my Nan (a widow) living in a C1800’s cottage in a small cul de sac in Kingstown, Bristol. Now long gone. It was opposite the corporation baths aka swimming pool. The basement was the coal hole. There was no electricity, lighting was by gas and cooking and heating was by a coal fired range. Her radio was battery powered which was charged regularly by the man down the road. She also had a wind up record player and you opened its doors to listen to it. She was a seamstress who did home work (turning frayed collars a cuffs on shirts)for extra pennies - literally. (There was no social security support like today) Her irons were flat irons heated on the coal range and were rested on an iron ring to cool. No ironing board, just blankets and a sheet on the kitchen table. Her pleasures were simple. A bottle of stout in The Bell and a pinch of snuff. As a treat fish and chips on Friday from Johnny Smiths down the road. One of her expressions which I will always remember (particularly as my dad adopted it) was if you asked her “ How are you Nana” she would reply “Poor but Happy” Fond memories

Do you think they will know if Basc insists on non lead rifle bullets on there members leases or if it is voluntary -
I have a new one arriving this week on Tuesdsy for my wife. A lightweight. Therefore the old one which is heavy, too heavy for me to lift is surplus now. I had intended to polish it up put new batteries on and sell it on ebay. If you're prepared to put new batteries on, it's a 3 wheeler, does supposedly 8mph and a good range. Everything works and it has a small headlight. But it's at least 10 - 12 years old. I can do pictures if you're interested. Google scooter battery prices then you'll have a fair idea of what the cost is to get in back on the road. I was going to put on batteries and sell at £200, I think £100 🤔 without, fair? Nice one . That's a dry looking field your on. Fields over here have only started to be ploughed, drilled this week. Ground still very wet in places.
