Its starting to look like F1 may be about to lose Mercedes after the 2021 season, Honda has already gone and Renault are wavering. The impact on sponsorship and TV earning power will be immense. Development of petrol engine technology is coming to an end all over the world now so the investment in developing future F1 cars no longer appears justified

It wasn't worth diddy squat before Brexit. Some countries were better than others but it only got you the initial basic treatment. Doesn't cover x rays, operations, hospital stays etc This is because most countries don't have a State medical service equivilent to the NHS When my friend broke her wrist in Amsterdam she ended up paying £2,700 to the hospital. They just looked at her card and shook their head Never travel without proper medical insurance

This is true, once a patient is in hospital the decision to send them home is based on complex decisions. If there is no pressing demand for the bed they will be left where they are for a few more days to see how they are progressing. I've seen this with my mother, then suddenly they want the bed.

On a serious note for a moment, plant theft is more common than you might imagine, during my brief time with the council I worked for the parks dept and newly planted flower beds would get raided as soon as they were put out. I would imagine a whole hedge would be a prime target

Yes but a WW2 mine can sink a battleship with a six inch thick hull, blowing a hole big enough to drive a car through. If they had brought up an old mine the trawler would have been cut in half. Fortunately nothing on that scale happened

I much prefer a case, not an answer to the OP's question, but don't rule one out without thinking about it

To be fair the damage to the side of the boat doesn't look that extensive (fortunately)

My friend Tony went ito hospital a couple of weeks ago to have a hip replacement and they sent him home the following day. Tony lives on his own and has other disabilities that restrict his mobility. He couldn't even get out of bed, they gave him no pain relief etc He was told the district nurses will be round to do dressings and stitches etc but they never showed up. Numerous unreturned phone calls to an answering machine before somebody phoned back and said he had never been referred. The GP didn't know he had been sent home either Fortunately he has lots of good friends and neighbours that are looking out for him but a lot of cages had to be rattled Things are really poor at the moment

Coronavirus Act 2020
-
The Conronavirus Act 2020 is an Emergency Powers Act given Royal assent in March. It gives a lot of extra powers to a lot of people they would not otherwise have Specifically it gives the police the power to stop, question and detain any person they SUSPECT may be POTENTIALLY infected. Travelling from one tier to another would be more that suff1cient legal grounds for suspecting a person may be potentially infected or spreading infection under the 2020 Act

II have one of them, been brilliant, wish I had bought two. Only problem from my point of view it that they are quite popular and on the ranges you have to make sure you go home with the right one

There is emerging evidence from America of a higher number of strokes in younger people who are asymptomatic but test positive when they get to the hospital after the stroke.. The theory is blood clots, caused by the virus, are moving around in the blood stream.

Its all about the scale of production, when China sets up to make something it is intended to be for a world market and they make millions. Try to produce just for the UK market alone and the costs go up too much. Besides which, China is a communist country and everything is notionally State Owned.

Be aware feeders attract rats as well. Big problem around London suburbs.

THIS ^^^^^ and practically every one of them would have had to get there by underground or bus

In ancient times Hounslow, (Chiswick) was the first place upstream that the river Thames ( in those days ) was shallow enough to be forded. So it was the place where people crossed and a lot of artifacts have been discovered in the mud of the river. Clearly a lot of people also misjudged it and drowned.

Its not just about dying, some of the survivors are in a pretty bad way and no clear expectation that they will ever be any better than they are now even people who only had mild symptoms are still experiencing exhaustion and when they scan them there is scarring on the lungs Its a very nasty virus

They will tell you its an ex mobility car, its a plus

I do now have doubts about the moon landings And when I lived in the US the MIAs were obviously a big story and I totally believed the American Government abandoned prisoners at the end of the Vietnam War. Frankly it would be hard to believe otherwise, but the American Government's way of dealing with these contentious issues is to discredit whistle blowers, send the FBI round to threaten you or point out what happened people who rock the boat. This spawns conspiracy theories. Never a crack in the wall of silence.

Can you post shotgun primers?

Just a bit damp here But on the subject of snow in New York, you have never seen snow like it. My friend sent me a picture a couple of years back of his house in Syracuse and it was up level with the top of his car overnight. Over there all external doors open inwards or you would never get out. But the thing is, a couple of hours later and all the roads are back open

I noticed that too, he will probably looking for (and getting) compensation now
