  1. Visors are not worth wearing in terms of spreading or not spreading the virus.
  2. Broadly speaking the cultural differences are 1) women are inferior to men in their view of the world 2) crimes committed against people who don't share your faith either doesn't matter or matters less. And I would like to point out that 75 years ago our great trading partner in Europe was busily killing people in gas chambers because they were of a different faith beyond that you will have to seek your own answers
  3. We have now switched from Mercedes to Honda, so far with no regrets what so ever
  4. What is racism? putting six million people in a gas chamber is racism. Pointing out that a list of offenders share a characteristic is just identifying a trend. Which may be useful to prevent further offences. Anybody who uses the racism in an argument generally cant think of anything better to put forward Facts are not racist, facts are facts
  5. I bought one about three years ago and use it all the time on the ranges. It works fine out to 600 yds at Bisley. The scope is good the stand is just OK, I bought a better stand. My OH likes it for watching the dolphins off Cornwall because she cant get on with Binocs
  6. This is exactly what is going on right now with quota breaking. Not all those four vessels can be at sea at the same time so its more like two most of the time. With mobile phones the French and Spanish trawlers know where the Fishery Protection Vessels are, or more precisely where they are not at any given time. When they know its safe to do so they just fill their hold and head back to their home port sticking two fingers up to the silly British. A British fisherman has to account for his catch at the quay side but the French and Spanish fishermen don't appear to suffer the same inspection.
  7. There was a lot of delaying and back peddling in the Rotherham case because police and social workers, who knew exactly what was going on, considered it too risky for their own careers. That is a fact, and it speaks volumes
  8. These people are not paedos. A paedo targets children because they are children. The modus operandi of previous grooming gangs was just to pick off the most vunerable and impressionable. And they do it in a specific way. I would imagine the only effect that previous convictions of grooming gangs has had on them is to be more careful about the ages of their victims.
  9. and i will have a side bet with you Gordon that they are predominantly minicab drivers. Most of the previous ones were, its about being able to move around at night in dodgy areas without attracting undue attention. "Hey Sarge, what's he doing sitting on a street corner at 2am?" "Oh is only a minicab, drive on"
  10. I was told that the French take ten times as much cod out of British waters as we do. And thats only what they admit to, it could be much more. The Dutch take pretty much the same ratio of herrings out of the North Sea compared to UK This strikes me as being a crazy situation to have ever allowed ourselves to get into
  11. That Vette had probably had the body off a few times, but they were never quiet. Shouldn't have had vibration though A lot of Lotus cars were the same but with horribly hard suspension as well
  12. The twist in that story though is that the one who actually shot the couple only served a short (by American standards) sentence and is already back on the streets. So was another participant. It was all to do with their ages
  13. The corvette had a fibreglass body to keep the weight down
  14. They said she was in a home, probably Denville Hall
  15. A lady I have known for 40 odd years, very serious and enthusiastic member of RSPB, we have had our differences over the years but remain strong friends. she goes ballistic about red kites taking out song birds in the Thames Valley. A real Bee in her bonnet about red kites. I don't know enough to have a valid opinion But I know her well enough to think she is not some sort of fruitcake on an obsessive campaign for no reason
  16. Yes, it says so in there "if the cause of death is unknown" that means undiagnosed before the event,.in practice, any form of sudden death has to be reported to the coroner it has been the subject of quite a lot of discussion, people saying relatives who clearly didn't die of covid being recorded as covid. That way the body can be released directly to the undertaker and by passes the red tape.
  17. Any death where the victim hasn't seen a doctor in a certain time period before the death, i can't give you all the detail at the moment but that is the reason. Its been mentioned before. They think some of the care home deaths may have fallen into this situation because GPs were refusing to go into the care homes. We will never know for sure.
  18. We know about this already, its been discussed before. An unexplained death requires a PM but in emergency measures, at present, a covid death doesn't. Its not the Govt trying to cook the books its the NHS doing it to avoid the PM
  19. Its getting serious, these things become a one way street where your professional integrity is concerned
  20. Every christmas there is at least one best selling cook book for the christmas market
  21. There is the a reason, the plant was intended to make Honda cars to sell into the EU but the EU remained resistant to Japanese makers. Nissan had the same problem, Demand never reached the levels that was predicted for the plant
  22. I thought the whole idea was to work your way systematically through the range trying them all and keeping notes
  23. The trouble was those cowboys used to introduce a squirt of oil onto the side of the shock absorber to simulate a leak so when you took the car in for its MOT a few months later it failed anyway
  24. There is a tree in the town square, if you go in the back bedroom and stand on a chair you can just see it at night when its lit up Bah Humbug me?
  25. I bet they weren't £1.50
