  1. If ever you are after Evolution power saws ring the manufacturer - they always have ex demo units in stock of various grades - you can buy one that had been returned because something was missing but Evolution replace whatever it was and then sell at a massive discount.
  2. Now there's a Christmas story - made my day.
  3. My wife bought a pair of boots a few years ago and, tucked down inside the toe, was a hand written note (in chinese) - we thought it was maybe just a QC note that had fallen into the boot but awhile later we asked a friend of my sons to read it and he said that it was from a young girl asking for help as she was being kept in prison and forced to work - she was 12 years old. We assumed it was some kind of practical joke but with the latest news who knows?
  4. Anyone sick of watching Catherine Zeta Jones in stockings is a couple of Gins away from batting for the other team.
  5. Slightly wide of the mark but I was in a similar situation before buying my Range Rover - it's 15 years old and renowned for being expensive to run and totally unreliable as well as being thirsty and so complex that you need a degree in electronics to turn the radio on. Well, after 3 years of ownership, I am so glad that I bought it - these things are slow (but it doesn't matter in the slightest) they are thirsty (but so comfortable) and, if you learn how to fix/service them yourself, they are cheaper to keep on the road than your average family saloon (new front complete driveshaft with 2 x CV joints and gaiters - £60) - I can do an Oil/Air / Oil filter change in half an hour for less than £50. Drive a Range Rover/ Disco and see what you think - join an owners forum and ask as many questions as you like then buy the best you can from a dealer, using a credit card to at least put down the deposit, and enjoy - dont believe what everybody says, a lot of people who slag them off have, most likely, never owned one.Oh - and it's a massive benefit if you have a good local independant LR Garage that works for cash - had 2 drop links fitted today for £50.
  6. Yep - pick it up with a poo bag then chuck the egg down the loo and the bag in the bin.
  7. The Finfire has a single stage trigger asaik - not the safest but some models also have a "set" - if you push the trigger forwards then the trigger will then fire the gun with the slightest touch.
  8. I said no kissing - just Hug it!!!!!!!!!
  9. Used Original - should just about get a mod 5 if you shop around - superb engineering.
  10. Show Sheen is not a shampoo - it stops mud sticking to the fur and prevents hair tangling.Spray it on the Dog before you go out.
  11. You could try Show Sheen - a quick hose afterwards and the dirt should fall off.
  12. If you have a Lathe then surely screwcutting is the best option? Will it need re-proofing afterwards?
  13. The BSA Meteor does not have such classic lines - that's a Logun S16 surely?
  14. Right click on the page and Adblock should come up in a drop down.
  15. What a coincidence - my other half reckons I could do with an extension - getting wood is no problem but she says it doesn't fit like it used to.
  16. Arron - you (clearly) have no idea who you are talking to - I'm a Feng Shui Blackbelt and I know my cushions - perhaps I shouldn't say but if I go into Ikea, I have inform the police first.
  17. OMG Arron - that's simply awful.......a Gold coloured cushion on a grey flecked Sofa - and to put the new Ballcock Nerf Gun in front!!!!!!!!!!! Have you no knowledge of Feng Shui?
  18. Fortunate enough to be married to an ex pro Chef who trained under the Roux Brothers for a while - rarely bother eating out because she can find fault with just about every meal. She can easily cook Curry or Chinese that is far superior to any take away and is totally responsible for me being, er, under tall for my weight.

    Quite funny

I am absolutely full of nothing but admiration for DPD at the moment - 2 x large parcels (20kg & 19kg) to the Netherlands - 48 hour signed for delivery, £26 - wondere how much Royal Mail would charge?
  20. My smith charges £50 per tube - is it worth trying to do it yourself? Don't understand why you want a Tap? unless you are considering trying to fit your own multi chokes?
  21. I actually had a lass on a Horse ring the police and report that she had seen a Terrorist in a field whilst I owned one of these - back in the 80's. Coppers that turned up were not amused.
  22. 4.4 ltr V8 Range Rover for me - the climate changes depending on where I turn the dial, the heated/cooled seats and steering wheel do the rest.
  23. My other half makes these and they are superb - you can, obviously, change the meat. 350G Sausagemeat. 1 Roll - ready rolled puff pastry sheets (jus-rol do one 320g) Jar of Baxters Albert's Victorian Chutney/Caramelised Onion Chutney or whatever you prefer - Apple Chutney's work well but can be hard to find and is a little sweet. Roll out the pastry and cut it down the middle, lengthways. Divide your Sausage meat into 2 equal amounts and roll it along the middle of the 2 pastry pieces so it looks like 2 long sausages. Spoon your Cutney along both sides of the meat then Egg wash the bare edges of the pastry.Roll the edges together and use a fork to press the edges together and give a smart appearance. Cook in the middle of the oven on a baking tray at 170 (fan) for about 1/2 hour but keep your eye on it incase the pastry starts to burn. You should have 2 Sausage Rolls about 10 - 12 inches long - cut into 2 and you will have 4 delicious Rolls, we just have beans with ours but you can have pretty much anything.
  24. I agree that, when you consider how much income they must have amassed over the years, they all appear a total waste of money - how many millions does the BASC have in it's fighting fund? What have they been using it for? Posh Hotels when they have an AGM? Corporate Entertainment? Going by the fiasco this year - not much else IMHO. I just take out Insurance now - Country Cover policy provides all the Insurance that the landowners whose grounds I shoot ask for.
