  1. I just logged on no problems so the site is OK.
  2. Quick scan of tinternet suggests that some pellets are prone to jamming the mag?
  3. So glad you answered Stu - BUT if you are comparing accuracy twixt one gun and another then you simply cannot include wind because it's an unknown, therefore only gravity effects the flight of a projectile where we are concerned, and, as we all know gravity has zero effect on sideways movement. So if you shoot 2 different barrels down the exact same axis, how is one projectile managing to alter course as it travels further away - it is also constantly losing it's rpm. Let's take a Gyroscope, for example, spin one at 200 rpm and the other at 500 rpm - in the context that we are discussing flight time is waaaay less than a 10 seconds - but does the slower spinning Gyro veer off course?
  4. If a BSA barrel is more accurate at 50 yards than an FX tube - how, on earth can the reverse be true at a greater range? Are you suggesting that a pellet fired from the FX is re aligning itself with the target as the range increases - is it equipped with a guidance system that I am unaware of or does the pellet fired from a BSA reach 50 yards in tight formation then does something akin to the Red Arrows "Vixen break" as it sees the 50 yard marker?
  5. So am I correct in thinking that the Collard Dove is off the menu? Seems quite a few hunting clip on the tube where they are still being shot.
  6. Correct - if you are a known fiddler - many are not and simply move around. The team that came to our school were part of Social Services ( I signed them in) and told us all quite openly that different regions have no access to other regions files.
  7. Actually the B2 custom refers to the use of a dead Dogs pizzle brush to improve the smoothness of the stock - the standard version is simply dipped.
  8. Oil degrades so why not shove a pump down the dipstick hole and suck the old oil out - change the filter and refill with new oil - should cost less than £25 all in - jobs a goodun.
  9. When I was a Caretaker, about 5 years ago, our Headmaster called a meeting and informed us that part of the school's new policy was that any member of staff that had contact with any pupil out of school hours should enter the details into a school log (despite us all being CRB checked) - I stood up and point blank refused (the Teachers, like Sheep, all agreed to this new policy) and explained, in front of the entire staff, that I was not going to let, say the Headmaster, know if I regularly met a child who appeared to be alone, on a regular basis, incase the Headteacher was a Child Molester - he was no more safety checked than we were. You should have seen his face - but he was stumped and the new policy was cancelled. Biggest shock for me was that Social Services from one region have no access to other regions files - a Paedo can simply move from one region to another and remain pretty much anonymous.
  10. Love Hoggs clothing - bought a used Tweed Jacket off this very forum a couple of years back then, sitting under tree's in freezing conditions, fell asleep in it.
  11. TBH (and no doubt many will come along who disagree) with the limited range of an Airgun you would be better off practising range finding with your naked eye. If you normally shoot at 20 yards then it's fairly straightforward to double the range using guesstimation - set your primary zero at 20 then learn the drop over twice the distance - should become second nature and when you come across vermin at whatever range you should be in with a pretty good chance.
  12. Why? Just use your guns most accurate round and use fieldcraft to do the rest.
  13. Gestation is 44 days - so if Nutty gets lucky tonight it's going to be early march before he leaves his kids and sets up home with some local tart cos his wife "doesn't understand him" - add another 10 weeks (more like 12 usually before the kids leave) and you are looking for little Nappies full of Nutella around end of April at the very earliest - this all depends on food and Weather conditions of course. Be very surprised to see kits in April but you never know.
  14. Bit early surely? March seems to be all systems go and kits are around 2 months old before venturing out so end of May would be most likely - I'm still shooting half grown one's from last year.
  15. Had a Sheridan Blue Streak a few years back - bought it after reading all the hype about it's amazing power, what a pile of Poo - primitive would be a good word and sights akin to putting 2 fingers in front of your face with a Lollipop stick at the muzzle - you can fit a scope with an adaptor but my scope used to swing around like your Nads in the summer if you so much as looked at it. Bronze barrel I seem to recall did little for the guns shotgun quality grouping and I was real glad that it blew a seal (no gay Eskimo jokes please) shortly after I bought it and the dealer (reluctantly) took it back - good riddance. The Innova is good if you can find one.
  16. The council is legally obliged to search every avenue (including any monies owed) before they can apply to court for an eviction - they must prove to a judge that all possible assistance has been given (including time to pay rent arrears) before a court will rule in favour of eviction - this young woman must have known this eviction was coming for quite some time and there must have been a court order for repossession?

    New tool

That's no coincidence, London Best, FX engineering is similar to that of the fifties.
  18. Bought some from Tesco a couple of months back - sausage type treat but didn't give it a thought until I noticed the sell by date was about 6 months - concerned about how much preservative must be in the treat further investigation did indeed reveal that China was the producer - bit late however as , by now, both my Dogs were sick. We only use Purina Adventuros Sticks or Nuggets - yet to find either a Dog that doesn't love them or has any side effects.
  19. Carole Nash - but it's not all good news as they took payment twice and their customer service centre seems to be in Calcutta.
  20. Sold my Duke 996 just over 3 years ago but now, after meeting an old chum who's mad on biking, I've got the bug again. Languishing in the back of my shed is a 1998 XV1100 Virago that I bought in 2014, rode a couple of times, before spraying with WD40 and forgetting about her - to cut a long story short I have dragged her out, had her serviced and repaired (Tank full of rust, Mice in the Air Filter, Mice eaten some of the wiring and a dead battery) and begun to put her back on the road - here's the bit I'm struggling with.....last time she was Insured I had 9 years no claims so was expecting a bit of a hike - was £96 comprehensive in 2016.......4 years later with no no claims the price is £74!!!
  21. I, personally, have my house and pension thanks to John Bercow's intervention when the DWP found me fit for work whilst suffering Chronic Kidney Disease, with his help we brought the DWP to a tribunal and charged them with Professional misconduct ( my G.P. refused to sign me fit for work) - Mr Bercow was with me when they were found to be guilty and forced to pay me back pay plus considerable compensation - so he's not all bad in my book.
  22. Aha - got you fibbing Mice! - David Nickerson shot that target - he's even signed it. Cant get one over on me.
  23. Looks very similar, islandgun, was 10+ years ago I reckon but I remember the stock was a work of Art and Manton was stamped on the inside of each lock.
