  1. I'm sure that if you search for the scopes specs you will find that it is designed for full bore use - normally 100 yards or 90 mtr. Google your scopes model and put parallax into the title you will find conformation. Might be wrong but I have a nasty habit of being right - you really need an Air Rifle designated scope or one with PX adjustment - Nikko Gameking would be my choice (about £50 used) but there are soooooo many others - many will suggest Hawke but I have never found their optics up to Nikko for quality - but everybody's eyes are different. Try before you buy - price is no guarantee that the scope will love you.
  2. Nice scope, but parrallax is non adjustable and set at 90m - not really an Air Rifle scope?
  3. OMG - get a life.......should we ban kids playing soldiers with cap guns, maybe licensing water pistols is next? Harmless fun.
  4. Aldi Glen Marnoch Isley - cheap as chips and won the "best in the world" in 2018.
  5. Put a dish of seed in the corner of the shed - if the seed starts to get eaten then put a Scarecrow next to the dish and top up the seed. If the seed level still drops try bursting into the shed every 10 minutes waving your arms frantically. If ,despite all your efforts, the seed continues to be consumed, shoot the bloody pest.
  6. I do the same, Dave at Kelton, but if I get distracted my ESS plays the game on his own - problem being we have sometimes walked half a mile before I realise he no longer has the dummy so I then have to walk all the way back - anything up to about 200 yards and he remembers, beyond that he doesn't really have the confidence to go where he cannot see me. I often resort to hiding the thing up a tree (only a couple of feet up) then walk him away around 50 yards before sending him to retrieve it - seems to totally mess with his brain but he is starting to get the hang of it.
  7. Had more enjoyment from my Springer than any toy that I ever owned, would give my right arm for him if he needed it.
  8. Wow - so many good times coming your way, enjoy every minute.
  9. You haven't stated what sort of cake is on offer - schoolboy error.
  10. Easy to alter to your own taste - I like mine a little sharper and I'm addicted to dipping chips in it! So cheap and easy to make.
  11. You may be missing my point stu64 - bring the temp of the pellets up to exactly 20c before measuring them - pretty sure that 20 degrees is the standard temp when measuring metal.
  12. stu64 - repeat your measuring tests after holding your pellets in your hand for a minute - totally different size. If you are going to be so anal as to measure pellets then it should be done at a standard temperature.
  13. Surely the simplest answer is to use the banger's in your cartridge bag? "I fired off several shots to scare the birds off - but they simply returned" How much time and effort (not to mention the cost of some kind of acceptable recording medium) is going to be needed to successfully prosecute you?
  14. Well that's probably the cheapest option, joejoe, but do you know, long term, that the dog is getting all the vitamins and minerals that he needs? Raw food has never really floated my boat - seems a lot of arguments against it and the options I have seen locally are quite pricey. Try the wet food from Akela, Lloyd90, next time you go away but you need to remember that switching foods will cause stomach upsets because of acid fluctuations - mine produce stinky gravy for anything up to a week before returning to solid bagable eggs when changing their food.
  15. Porridge compared to our London Brick Company reject 1949 jobbies - pretty sure they are bullet proof 😂.
  16. With their 9 million pounds worth of assets I am surprised that the BASC have not already tied NE up in knots over their ridiculous proposals in a Court Room - I'm guessing they are playing the waiting game. Can someone knock on their door and tell them to pull their finger out.
  17. What power drill do you have Diver One, only I have had no issues with the ones I bought last year and our Bricks are bleedin rock hard!
  18. So over the last 4 years we have tried just about every wet dog food on the market - our Springer's seem to have really sensitive stomachs and tend to prefer the ,er, more expensive brands but sooner or later they get bored and one of them in particular simply stops eating. So ,after reading the advice on "allaboutdogfood" I decided to just cut to the chase and buy the highest rated food tested - Akela. First of all, it's not cheap at £2 per 400g can (and I cannot find anybody that discounts it) but I have to admit that, after 6 weeks now, it's dammed good stuff at any price. Both Dogs coats are the best they have ever been and each and every variety is devoured - zero waste. We have discovered that you can buy them direct from the maker at a better price if you buy 60 cans - it then works out at £1.35 per can and ,I'm fairly certain, that no other Dog food comes even close in quality at this price. Try it.
  19. I think that Lidl have got some in at the moment - about 3 foot long some of them.
  20. You can cut about 1/2" off the barrel or just get a Gunsmith to open it/them out - about £40 a side normally.
  21. BASC AGM Minutes Jan 2018. Chairman Peter Glenser. "The association has never been so financially strong. Over the last 2 years we have recorded a surplus of over £1 million with this last year reaching £1.26 million. The balance sheet has never been so strong with assets of £9 million. This enables us to have a War Chest to protect our sport" makes you wonder where all this money is actually going - talk about being caught with your pants down, it's indefensible and unacceptable.
  22. The word TUG as used in "tugging your forelock" - ever seen it done? Does it remove hair or hurt? Christ on a bike.
  23. Are you deliberately being argumentative reidler? Do you honestly consider a tug on a Dogs ear equal to kicking it - tell you what - you give my ear a tug and I will give you a kick see which is preferable. I'm not talking about wrenching the Dog off the ground by it's ears - you simply put your hand around the ear and wriggle it while growling - there is no pain involved whatsoever. The method was taught to me by an ex British champion springer man who NEVER hit his dogs - he reckoned that breaking a Dogs spirit was breaking a Dog.
  24. I have an old box with 13 of these exact shells in - god alone knows how old they are but must be 20+ years.
