Same in our village timmytree - shortly before closing for Christmas the local playgroup would decorate a vintage tractor/trailer then come round the village in the evening singing carols - I can still recall the amazing sound to this day, they don't make tractors like that anymore .

And, ultimately, who will be paying for any claim they make? Sell their story to the papers and pocket the cash, they've had their 10 minutes of fame .

Would it be worth mentioning to the Police that , on my way back from the Fawcett Inn last night, I saw a pair of Unicorns flying over Heathrow?.

I use an old (v reg) Saxo as a runaround to take the Dogs out and last year she failed the MOT - document said " front brake shoes unsecured" - tester said that there were no split pins in the pad bolts. Got her home and took the wheels off - Saxo's don't have a clip thru the pins, they are push fit with a weird twisted wire arrangement behind the pad - both of which were present and correct.

I would be inclined to take them back where you bought them from - 2 year warranty doesn't come into it (they will say straight away "out of warranty") you are protected by your consumer rights. These are a premium product and, as long as you have not miss treated them (they should still look in reasonably good condition) you are entitled to either a repair, partial refund or maybe a replacement. Do not attempt a repair - it will complicate matters.

Brocock are built in the same factory as Daystate (or should I say assembled?) they are owned by the Diana group.
-
How old were they when they started to leak?

Hard to imagine the RAF being able to defend against, say 10, drones if they were launched against a parked F35 - each a/c costing in excess of £120 million - what a cheap and effective weapon.
-
Big money to be made - many years ago I knew a young couple that used to buy Tesco's cheapest plonk, several cases at a time, and, after soaking the labels off overnight in the bath, would replace them with some copied "up market" French wine label then sell cases to local Restaurants - they were making a killing.
-
Cannot believe that something so cheap should cause such a calamity - surely the potential is there to bring down an Aircraft thus the Army should be on site within 20 minutes - if we cannot cope with such a basic threat then the Russians must already be busy buying drones on Amazon. How long ago was it that someone landed one on HMS Queen Elizabeth? Surely lessons should have been learned. Shoot the things down - in reality what are the odds of a falling bullet hitting somebody? 30 armed personnel and the jobs done.

For some reason sitsinhedges has been struck by a massive modesty stick as he has not admitted that he makes (or did?) superb quality shot.

I cannot believe how narrow minded some people can be - if anything goes astray or any wrong doing discovered it's always the poor travellers that get the blame - it's time we stopped thinking that they are treated better than normal folk and get unfair benefits - if you have any real evidence then ring your councils Travellers liaison officer - same number as all the other council helpline services used to be before they were closed down.

My other half does exactly the same with some clothes that cannot be tumble dried - Winter is obviously the worst time by far - we use an Aldi dehumidifier (around £50) and run it for 2 hours every night, amazed at the amount of water it removes from the air - anything up to a pint/night. Sorry cannot help with PIV.

oldpigeonpopper - re servicing PCP's - one of my S410's is an 07 built Gun that I bought when it was 2 years old - it has had no service work done to it whatsoever and I would bet my dangly bits that, put away in a cupboard for 6 months, I could get it out and it would put 10 shots thru a 5p sized hole at 30 yards without having to do anything to it at all - she's 11 years old and still looks almost new - my other is of 2013 vintage and has required a new magazine indexing post (£12) from new - so AA's quality is obviously dropping .

First couple of series were pretty good but it's starting to wind me up now, how many times can we be fed the old "before the wedding the moat needs draining, the walls all need repointing and the guest suite doesn't even have a roof" so Angel is busy ironing flowers. Pretty sure they have about 10 full time staff and business is booming - good luck to them but no longer my cup of tea.

Shame you're not closer - I'm near MK and have a set you could borrow for as long as you liked.

Whereabouts are you PPP?

It's arrived!! 3 days by courier and Sunday delivery is pretty good going for under 13 notes. First impressions are....spot on. It is certainly large enough for one man in full hunting apparel and plenty of room for a seat - only downside that I can really see is that the zip is blue so not sure what, if any, effect that will have. Put it up in the living room and my other half says that it is not see thru and , although she had my sympathy, I could not see her busy picking up the Christmas trinkets that my poop up had scattered under it's expansion. To be frank it's worth the money for the fun of getting it out of it's bag, the wife's bruises will heal in time whilst I am happy to simply pop my teeth back in once I've caught the Dog and got them back .

Why would you buy a Gun with known reliability issues? Even if it only let you down once every 5 years then **** law says that will be on a red letter day. You chose the right Gun in the first place - the S410 but I'm guessing the pretty lines of the R10 wooed you in the shop? - have a look at the ultimate sporter if you want eye candy. As for Regs, cannot help but think that they are of questionable benefit to 90% of people who use them - in normal hunting situations (and that's what all these guns discussed are primarily built for) a string of 50 consistent shots ( as per the majority of un-regged guns) is about 20 more than you will ever need.

TBH - Walker570, I actually have a lot to thank the man for - about 15 years ago I was having no end of trouble with the DHSS as well as my local Council when the official Benefits Doctor declared me fit for work (with Renal failure) but my own G.P. refused to fill in any job applications to that effect. JB accompanied me to a tribunal and spoke on my behalf against the DHSS claims team and was instrumental in having them fined for professional misconduct.

Indeed - apart from the derisory £77k they also have to dig deep to pay staff costs i.e. last year John Bercow only claimed £83k for his secretary .

No but, off on a slight tangent - just got my Original 35 back from a service and trying to find a pellet it likes - wasn't getting too good results (initially) with my favourite AA field so tried some H&N Barracuda Match and was amazed to see a drop of 4+ inches over 25 yards compared to AA.

Beginning to sense a smidgen of cynicism in your tone clakk regarding our glorious leaders - time we realised the sweat and tears that these poorly paid and over worked troopers endure everyday in their selfless desire to improve our lives . B*m - now I'm doing it.
-
No need to ***** them - put them on a tray in the oven for 10 minutes and they pop open.

Work of a genius I reckon - looking for a porta potti to go inside as well as a magazine rack to make me feel at home. Might be see thru but as long as the background is dark that should not be a problem - I also have a really lightweight camo net that I could drape over it but I don't think I will need it, time will tell. If it works then I'm going to start selling them....thinking of calling them "poop up hides"
