  1. Pop into GO OUTDOORS - they sell pro logic (think that's what they're called - bought one second hand off this forum about a year ago and it's brilliant.
  2. If you knew somebody who lives in the states could they not buy the part and simply post it - it's an Antique Clock part isn't it?
  3. Sister ship to the SS Nancy Buoy?
  4. Another nice pic Stu - you have an abysmal taste in Airguns and, sometimes, a questionable grip on reality, but your choice of companion is beyond reproach .
  5. The HW30 only puts out 6ftlb as far as I recall English - the other 3 you ,mention are likely to be far too heavy. As for complicated? If the OP was concerned then the S200 could be used as a single shot and there's not much simpler than pulling back a bolt and popping a pellet in a hole - even easier if you buy the multi adaptor - filling is a doddle.
  6. AA S200 pcp - more accurate than a very accurate thing and petite - ugly but sooooo capable and feels daft in the shoulder till you put a scope on it - then it all makes sense. Small springer capable of being used by a 10 year old with enough power to kill Rabbits cleanly is going to be more tricky, I would get the S200 as there's nothing that it cannot really do - Ultrastu will be along soon to extol the virtues of the smaller BSA's and his views are well worth considering.
  7. Try Aldi's Bushland Shiraz - less than £5/bottle and veeeeeery drinkable.
  8. Looks cast to me - drill it out to accommodate the biggest bolt you have and tap it to that size - Loctite the bolt in and trim it flush - drill thru the centre the AF size then take it to your nearest machine shop and have them slot the hole with an end mill - might cost you a tenner but that should sort it.
  9. Bravo Sir - superb video of near professional quality and you have a tone of voice that is very easy on the ear - if I were in your shoes I would think about maybe making a DVD over the season.
  10. Springer's are just the best companion you could ask for, totally loyal but mad as a box of frogs - walk mine 5 miles a day and love every minute - great picture Stu.
  11. The woodland where I walk the Dogs has 3 Pineapple Quince trees bursting with fruit - made some spicy Chutney with it but not tried it yet.
  12. Yep - several times - they don't usually put you out because you need the swallow reflex to assist (things may have changed - my last one was 10 years back) normally numb your throat a little - it's really no big thing and I have a fiver says that the first thing you think afterwards is " well - that was a load of worry over nowt" - "other" entry ;point is no worse really but the thought of 1.2 metres of instrument can be a little daunting.
  13. I love the Nikko Stirling Gameking scopes - superb clarity for a cheap scope - bought a mid range Hawke for my .17hmr but took it off within minutes and "stole" the Gameking off my .22lr.
  14. So sorry to hear of this - God Bless you both.
  15. Few things in life compare to the company of a Dog that loves to be with, and work, with you - anyone who shoots throughout their life without at least trying the complete feeling of unity and euphoria of a good Dogs companionship is losing out on an amazing experience.
  16. At the risk of repeating myself ALWAYS put down, at least, the deposit using a Credit card - you have so much more protection.
  17. You kept Goats OB? Just wondering if you ever slaughtered them yourself and ,if so, how you did it m8 - did you stab them in the back?
  18. Sensible point of view Louis, but I already have 2 S410's and the particular task that my new toy will be employed for does not require a rifle capable of match grade accuracy - as long as it will group 1/2" ish over 20 yards then it will be fine. Had I of bought an older gun that turned out to be unreliable or lacking the desired performance then I would not have used it - my original post made that quite clear. The Original 35 I have bought is "only"46 years old but should be up to the job.
  19. If it's got 2 1/2" chambers Mick then putting a 70mm cartridge down her could be fun.
  20. Whilst I fully understand that it might be considered a bit controversial I think I would put up a considerable reward if my lad was stolen - best of luck finding him, the owner must be distraught.
  21. My manager had the same operation about 6 years ago - you would not recognise him now, he has so much more stamina and energy - got a new job and loving life - good luck, keep a positive mental attitude is my only advice.
