By no means an expert on the .17hmr but my Annie will shoot one hole ragged groups at 100 yards - occasional flyer but most likely me - if you buy a box of Hornady and they seem to cure the problem then go back and buy as many as you can from the same batch/dealer.

Anything by Tom Sharp - you will be hooked.
-
Not correct at all spandit, my RR is 14 yo and is almost immaculate - most likely due to the Oil leaking from the engine being constantly sprayed over the paintwork.
-
My Spaniels are eating as well as ever - no expert but if he's not feeling like eating after a days work I (and being a Lab!!) then I would be paying the vet a visit. Could he be drinking foul water from wherever you are working him?

Dekers - I shoot over VERY public spaces where members of the public have free access 24/7 - summer is the busiest time for people to be wondering around the Woods so the Squirrel control (under advice from the local council H&S Team and the Police) is restricted to , roughly, end of August till end of April when A / the woods are seeing fewer visitors & B / when it's out of breeding season
-
Nuff about blatting Nutty now - bout 6 weeks till my season on them starts again (hope they bred well) so I'm counting the minutes - fitness is better than this time last year so, at the moment, I'm looking forward to beating last years 49 - not covered a fraction of the land so maybe I will shake some trees in different woods and see what falls out.

Many thanks Yellow Bear - bought a bottle of Hortus from Lidl today and it's a belter .

Report it to Environmental Health? You might as well report it to McDonalds - had the same problem 3 years ago (still on going) and EH are about as much use as a one legged man at a Butt kicking party.
-
Pop down to Aldi and buy a couple of boxes of sugar free Butterscotch sweets - once your neighbours are out start feeding them thru the door - 4-5 a day should soon have them wondering why they ever bought a Dog in the first place .p.s - this also works on people.

If as much thought went into the whole gun as the safety catch then I would avoid the thing.

Quick Google search says that Grizedale is managed by the Forestry Commission.

I'm no great Football fan but from where I'm standing I would say that Croatia didn't win last nights game - we lost it. We only got to the semi's because of other countries being unusually knocked out and I cannot recall any particular England performance that made them look like World Cup Winners.

There are loads of Forums that cover your car and some of the members have an amazing amount of experience and are more than willing to share/help - Landyzone seems quite good and you might find recommendations for local LR specialists.

Decent oil for your car is around £40 + £10 for the filters so £50 parts if you did her yourself - with Halfords buying power they would get the Oil cheaper so they could have made around £30 on the job. Did they stamp your service book? - if so then the service schedule would indicate that both Filters should be changed and by stamping your book they are on thin ice. p.s. quick look on various forums seems to suggest that the centrifugal filter has no specific service interval but "usually" gets changed at least once every 2 normal filter changes. I don't think it works like a paper element so should not release contaminated oil into your system.

PM'd the OP suggesting Buck Fever now reading your replies I see that it has already been suggested - I suffered for many years but now I use a simple technique whereby I imagine the Squizzers eye is a penny piece and fool my mind into thinking I'm plinking (easy when you are short of brain cells) - by watching and waiting till Nutty is enjoying his meal before releasing the shot I find that I rarely miss although, as discussed many times before, a pellet thru Nutties head does not always mean a deceased pest.

Christ on a Bike OPP - should have gone to specsavers - biggest problem I had was writing the distance on each knot - found a pen with a fine enough point but forgot that I cant count - wasted more bits of string than I have fingers on one hand (6ish?).
-
I've bought 25 yards of string and tied a knot in it every yard - where do you want it posted?
-
A Range Finder for a little over 22 yards.....are you being serious?
-
Bandit has no "fuel off" position - tap opens when it senses vacuum - turn over the engine and fuel flows.
-
Never been keen on turning an engine over for long with the plugs out - petrol will wash away the Oil in the bores and can cause the rings to score the barrels.
-
Snipe had a top lever ditchman, pretty sure, and this cocked the action.
-
Spent many hours sucking up Fox Poo with a petrol engined Pooper Scooper then spraying the ground with disinfectant.

That's akin to saying that cars should not have bumpers or Air Bags - because you shouldn't really have an accident - leaning my gun against a tree is not the wisest course of action but it happens now and again - the gun fell onto a thick carpet of dead leaves and I would not expect such damage to happen so easily - my AA's do not suffer as they have supporting rings fitted twixt the barrel and cylinder so it is a potential problem with the RM8 - have you never dropped your gun a little carelessly or had a Springer (Dog) use it as a seat, turned around in a woodland and tapped the barrel against a tree? I have no axe to grind with the Walther and it seems to please a lot of people but it's not for me.
