Ha - I was posh, had myself the EM.......in black as well.

You are side stepping the issue me old m8 - the .22rf is well known worldwide for it's accuracy and the fact that you have seen a couple of, clearly, scrap rifles has no bearing on your statement that the .25 can "in some cases" reach further than the .22lr. What you should have said is that you have experienced a couple of .22lr rifles so knackered that they might not compete ,accuracy wise, over your brand new shiny .25? We all know that power does not equate to accuracy but the assumption that your average (i.e. in reasonable condition) .22lr is incapable of competing in either accuracy or power stakes down range against a .25 Airgun is bordering on fantasy. By comparison to your sub - a decent .22lr will print those groups at 100 yards in the same conditions. You have yourself an expensive top of the game .25 Airgun - if you allow the same expenditure on a .22lr (something along the lines of an Annie Match) you will be looking sub 1" at 200 yards - unless, of course, one of your mates has a completely ******** one of those as well?

Struggling again here Stu....so a (usually less than) 30.g .25 fired at 50ft/lb has more range (reach) than a 40.g .22lr leaving the barrel at just over 130 ft/lb? To assist you I would like to add that the RWS HV HP that I use is still carrying over 70ft/lb in it's trousers at 200 yards.

Got to be one of the most under rated makers in history - superb quality at any price.

I understood that Black Powder "explodes" when confined? - as in a gun barrel?
-
Seem to remember that modern propellants "expand" rather than explode - Black Powder, however, explodes.

What Breakdown Service Would You Recommend ?

Broke down a few years back whilst covered by the AA - despite being registered as priority due to crucial medication needs they left me stranded for over 4 hours - they also left my heavily pregnant wife stranded a few years before when they failed to spot a cracked distributer cap on her car. By comparison, Surestart are about a third of the price and when I broke down last year (alternator failure) they rang me 3 times in the 20 minutes that it took for a mechanic to arrive to check that I was OK. -
Till 1992 the queen paid no tax and, in fact, along with several Royals, has no legal obligation to pay a penny -strange that "her" Tax collectors never spotted that?

If it's .177 you can keep them inside Bic pens - remove the ink tube/nib and cut the plastic tube off - reinsert with a little superglue then remove the plastic cap at the back of the pen and fill - pop the cap back on and hey presto your pellets are protected.

Michael you are one lucky son of a gun!! That thing of beauty needs to be used though and not just tucked away where it cannot be admired. -

Stunning restoration job.......jeez, I would sell my daughters before I would part with that. -
Massive advantage if you manufacture/sell the stuff but arguably very little if you pay for/use it.

What a moron - it's a shame that country sports seems to appeal to many hard of thinking plebs.

Obtaining an FAC with past convictions

TBH - it all happened when I was 15 (40 years ago) but I was told at the time that I would be lucky to ever be granted a SGC - when I applied (about 5 years later) it sailed thru - faster, in fact, than my mates who was "clean". -
Whilst on the subject of sea power - how long ago were we discussing "borrowing" French warships if we entered into a conflict - how many Aircraft Carriers do we have (operational) - we don't have a very big stick to shake at anybody.

StartRescue - mines about £35/year and covers everything apart from homestart - even punctures. -

7 charges of Armed Trespass - using a Firearm without a licence - stealing ammunition for said Firearm - not proud by any means but it didn't affect my FAC or SGC. -
Are you new to the rifle? If so then you might find a small grub screw inside the fill probe - supposed to prevent rapid filling but in fact is a pain - if it's there just remove it.

Strewth PS - you must live in a posh area - what hole were they playing.

Might I suggest that you make a point of taking the ball from him straight away upon retrieval - he may be uncertain as to why he has bothered if you then don't take the ball from him - as you know the act should be followed by praise ( I NEVER use food as treats ) - you could also try hiding the ball on your body somewhere and ask him to retrieve it - start off with just putting it under your arm where he can see it and, again, with loads of praise start hiding it behind you or inside your shirt etc until he is completely comfortable climbing all over you looking for the ball - the more interesting you make the game the more he will want to play. As already stated though, he is still very young so don't expect a Robot .
