  1. I think we should go further and discuss the, so far, unmentioned ROS (rate of spin) or RPM to simplify - surly a higher RPM in .22 would negate any advantage over the diminutive .177 due to the Gyroscopic effect? The twist rate of your barrel, I'm guessing, is a conversation you have yet to have with your local RFD when buying a Puffgun. Only kidding - but I wouldn't mind a squid for every time this debate has been aired. The correct answer IMHO is either calibre but not both - use one gun and learn to shoot it.
  2. Bought a similar HOGGS coat off here several years ago - must admit that, occasionally, I have nodded off waiting for Pigeons whilst wearing it.
  3. Just to clarify team tractor - you've had your guns taken away yet not committed any offence - you are a fully paid member of BASC yet nothing has been done? Just about sums them up doesn't it? What about a legal challenge from BASC, using their considerable "fighting fund", to charge the Police with theft?
  4. Our Neighbours had an extension done and one of the builders dropped a brick down a drain - next time we had heavy rain their front garden flooded (about 3" water) - next time our Insurance was due (has there ever been a flood within 50 metres of your home) our premium was increased by ............£600. Told them to shove it.
  5. Mine split on my Range Rover - rang my local RR spannerman only to be told that they don't replace CV boots anymore - they replace the entire driveshaft!! Thank god I shopped around - genuine driveshaft over £700 + VAT......J&R trading (terrible reputation) £49.99 inc next day delivery - arrived in a damaged box with a snapped jubilee type clip but replaced that for pennies and the shaft has been on now for nearly 2 years without any bother.
  6. Why would it have to be sent to your RFD? He could post it direct to you for around £15.
  7. Now there's a picture to treasure - superb.
  8. Tramadol certainly works for me - on the 2 occasions that I have taken it, it stopped my heart beating both times - certainly made me forget the pain though.
  9. Be honest and play fair - you will usually receive the same treatment.
  10. We're going to play football on Christmas Day, will I get arrested. Makes me laugh - I have it on very good authority that, around here anyway, no police officers are being sent to reports of breaches of the social distancing - even less likely on Christmas day. The whole notion is a joke - let's say you are employed in a family business and there are 8 employees, all related, you can spend every day working with them but not spend Christmas day with them. With every new rule put in place this Government is proving that it could not organise a bunk up in a brothel.
  11. Nobody near me seems to stock it - online it's around £6/bottle!!
  12. Only going by what it says on the label - NEW in big green letters? Things are getting desperate now - found myself sipping it from the bottle the other day. Will look around for your sauce TIGHTCHOKE.
  13. Out of interest, can a business post an Airgun back direct or does it have to be via your local RFD?
  14. "It will be interesting to see how many of these Turkish guns are still around in 10/20/30 + years time" - didn't everybody say the same about Japanese Motorcycles? I've got a KOFS and I'm well chuffed with it - also heard many rumours that some Italian guns are made partly in Turkey.
  15. I would say some kind of cherry plum.

Any queries regarding Dyslexia should be reported to the DNA - National Dyslexics Society.
  17. Agreed - just a wind up - pretty much anything with Honda written on it is going to be reliable. Friend of mine buys new BMW bikes every 2 years (£16,500 this year) and then rides them all over Europe on holidays or with an owners group, it has loads of different modes on it i.e. Rain Mode etc but it's still just a twin in a posh frock to my mind.
  18. It's a BM - they all do that as standard, it's a little extra gift from Germany that you don't get from other makers - easily fixed by simply buying a Ducati.
  19. I received a letter about 3 weeks ago from TVP informing me that, as my renewal was due during a typically busy period, would I consider applying for a renewal now - 2 years in advance.
  20. Just found this in our local Waitrose - KETJAP MANIS - sweet aromatic soy, OMG it's good - as a dipping sauce the flavour is amazing.
  21. Had the same issue with a car. If you bought it blind i.e. bought over the internet without seeing the bike in the flash then you are covered by the distance selling regs. If you viewed the bike previously then, from what I recall, you must give them the opportunity to repair the bike - how and who does the job is up to them. Most likely a simple fuelling problem - not a bike that floats my boat personally - straight four in an enduro type chassis? I've had several BM's and the flying brick was the least reliable. Of course if it's brand new then it is clearly not fit for purpose and you can tell them to take it back - if it's less than 30 days old I believe you simply reject the bike.
  22. I stand corrected Old Boggy, although, in my defence, Shooting UK website states Sabatti for the Highlander.
  23. Lincoln premier is £900 new - that's nearly 40% higher than the KOFS - Lincoln guns are made by Rizzini AFAIK - the gun that the OP is looking at has lost around 50% of it's new price - lets try picking up a KOFS for under £250 in a similar spec, I think you will find very little difference in depreciation.
  24. People who knock working at Tesco have, most likely, never done it. Two of my daughters worked there, part time, and the benefits can be quite rewarding - unless it has changed they can buy anything as it goes out of date for a penny - our freezer was brimming with Beef and Lamb joints.
