I'm with steve SxS on this - so many variables as well to consider as well.

So out on the greys today - 6 for 13 shots inc 2 "in the air to get things moving" shots. Dropped one at about 30 yards but when I went to pick it up it was still very much in the land of the living. Now, in desperate need for a suitable candidate for my bouncer, I didn't want to obliterate him and he was moving towards a thick bramble patch - so I stepped back away from him till I was at least 25 yards away and gave him another 23 grams of 6 shot through 1/4 choke bottom barrel. What was left of the bird was little more than Pate - so bad that I couldn't even pour him onto the cradle - am I missing something obvious only this doesn't seem to ever happen with my 12?

Heart warming to hear that Malala Yousafzai (shot by the Taliban when she was 15 for suggesting that women should have the right to education) has passed her Degree at Oxford - well done young lady.

Pretty sure they had a special felt recoil reducing plastic wad - always hard on the shoulder though from what I remember - good quality shells but the smell used to give me a headache - maybe I'm just a wuss.

PM "sitsinhedges" and ask him - not sure if he still makes shot but I bought some from him a few years back and he certainly knew what he was doing - nice guy as well which is a bonus.

TBH - putting a Mod on an old Springer is akin to buying a bike for a Goldfish.

Posted about my original 35 back in April ("original blast from the past") - had mine serviced shortly after buying it and you can see the accuracy she is capable of - the gun is also very quiet after a period of running in since the service - more than capable of killing Rabbits at normal Air Rifle ranges - AA Diabolo or JSB Exacts seem to work well even though you need to seat them quite firmly. You already have all the gun you need!!! Pic would be nice.

Too many variable if you use co2 on live targets, as for the noise factor, the 2 co2 guns that I have owned have been the loudest guns I ever owned.

At my age I would leave the Tick if it settled amongst my "wobbly bits" - can only improve the view.

Since the whole affair kicked off most of our street have taken part in social gatherings (keeping a safe distance apart), we usually have a Coffee morning on Friday and then a boozy music night on Saturdays where we all get to choose a song or two and put the world right. Some neighbours that we have not really spoken to for years have become close friends and the street seems to be a more united and homely place.

RIP 1ST LT. Kenneth Allen 48th FW (Grim Reapers) RAF Lakenheath.

I think the condition of the barrels has sealed her fate - I think Teague used to do liners but not sure they still do, if I were still in the Precision Engineering business I would make a liner myself then have her reproofed but it's a long shot. Only other suggestion would be to find a serviceable set of Damascus Barrels and see if they could be made to fit - the ribs could be swapped over?

Ultimately what this country needs is a leader with balls - the ridiculous Cummings affair has castrated Boris and turned his reputation into a comics fodder. Years of Yoghurt Knitting, sexally self sufficient tree huggers have beaten us to a pulp with their being offended by life itself. Change, both violent and dramatic, needs to come or we are all ****** - cannot even say what I want despite millions dying for our freedom of speech - not the Mods fault - musn't offend anybody.

Advice on buying second hand air rifle from private seller
bruno22rf replied to Jimmy2B's topic in Airgunners
OK - so buying from a private individual has it's ups and downs. You can get just the gun you want at a price you are happy with - or you could lose all your hard earned and have no come back. You could ask on any Airgun forum if any members know the seller - or you could ask the seller if they are members of any forum and then judge what kind of person you are dealing with by their posts. You could have the seller post the gun to your nearest RFD for you to inspect if the seller makes an agreement with the RFD not to release the gun until told to i.e. once payment has been received. What gun is it and where is it? -
Mice is to trolling what John Inman was to weight lifting - a less accurate description of a fellow member would be hard to imagine.

Great that he's OK - must have been awful for you to see him in such a state.

Apologies - just wondering how fine the Damascus is - picture from above, close to the breach should be good - my previous post sounded a little demanding - wasn't intended that way.

Fluid on the knee can best be removed by gently moving the joint for as long as you can - try putting a tennis ball under your foot and rolling it around whilst you watch telly. Alternatively you could take 20mg of Prednisolone and be back chasing Women/Men/Sheep/Rainbows this time tomorrow.
-
Even easier - you already have the quick release - Ebay prt no.373026882875 is all you need.

WOW - GUN PORN-NUFF SAID!! Stunning.

Wandered down an old perm this afternoon with my 28G tucked under my arm - never much on this perm but it was nice to get out in the fresh air again. After 1/2 hour wasting my time chasing a handful of Pigeons I stumbled across a field that I cannot honestly recall ever shooting over - OH joy of Joys - must be at least 100 acres of Peas just coming into flower. Guess who's going to be a busy boy in a couple of weeks time? Shottie during the day and the Cat out to play at roosting time.

The thread will be a standard 1/8" BSP - so you will need a 1/8" BSP Female to a quick release Male.Ebay item no. 153802743737 should get you on the road.I'm assuming you mean Stirrup Pump btw, and not a car tyre inflating foot pump?

Can you get a better picture of the barrels please - cannot judge the damascus.

RE - TGS - where does he dream these prices up? If he pays the kind of money he is talking about then he seriously needs to shop around.
