  1. Have a read online at reviews good and bad.
  2. I wouldn't like the traffic problems never mind the smell. The increase in traffic and road noise will devalue property alone.
  3. Tonksy when the wooden butts were put into the bank side did they put a gravel infill between the wood and the soil to drain water straight down and round the sides like a French Drain this would also help the timber to last.
  4. Let's face it show me a modern gun with poor metal fit and poor wood to metal fit. They don't exist as modern machining takes care of it. You can but a new Baikal for not a lot and it will last a lifetime. Personnel preference and parts availability if it should go wrong are the real factors in making a choice.
  5. Go for it its old and abused by what you say so where is the harm, just rinse it clean dry and relube.
  6. Beretta SV10 if you find the Superfasts thumps you definitely wouldn't like the Power Reds as they kick more at both ends.
  7. Looking at johnnyoftheboy posts they show lower fps than the Kent velocity they're replacing,so must have changed things.
  8. Acetone/ nail varnish remover on a rag and soak and rub should lift it straight off. The other safe way is corks in muzzle ends and fill barrels with boiling water, this removes the plastic fouling.

    Knighthoods

Sir cliff Richard Sir Jimmy Saville they don't always get things right. Some of the people who get them make a mockery of it. The deserving few who should get a Knighthood or Damehood for doing some good for others should be the only ones getting them. Sports people who get to the top in their profession should not be Knighted.
  10. Stevo the C&G chokes are very good and throw very good patterns. I would not be wasting money changing to different chokes. I've had mullet chokes and now I just use the chokes that came with my clay gun.
  11. I use a grain filler and sealer then start with the oil.
  12. Get some electric car seats mount not a good frame with legs that extend at the rear so it won't tip back. Fit a 12v to 240v transformer and you have a great set of recliners.
  13. Faster than the Power Blues. I have tried them and they are a good cartridge just not worth traveling to buy over the Hull Superfasts I buy locally.
  14. I've tried a 12 bore on clays and didn't like it. Found it didn't shoot as well as it looked. Better guns can be bought second hand. If it has to be new I'd choose a Yildiz.

    28 bore

I have a Yildiz 28 bore and keep toying with selling it,then take out on clays or game and fall in love with it again. Great guns for not a lot of money. Told my wife I was going to sell it and she told me not to as she likes it and can handle it better than the 12 bore ads I cut down for her.
  16. Tip forget location and get to one of the pigeon watch guys to sort out by post. Fit the mid bead yourself and take the wood off the gun and post it to WelshWarrior or others folk on here recommend PS put your location on it helps.
  17. Fantastic saws a few of us on here use them, they are a detuned version of the highly tuned pro saw. They have a 71 cc engine and can be tuned up to go like the clappers.
  18. Great patterns nothing would get through them. I've smashed clays to little bits at silly distances with my 28bore they hold a good pattern. So anything game bird size is going to be hit with plenty at moderate ranges.
  19. If you look for Johnnyoftheboy posts you will find the true speeds of game carts through a standard shotgun over a chronograph. Even though not certified speeds they give you the difference against the competition
  20. JK6 is another powder cartridges are named after.
  21. Not enough week on week content, like when Andy Crow was on every week it was good to see what he needed to do through a season on the farm. Splitting content down into separate programes has taken away from the main event. I quite like some of the other internet country programs. Hallo Charlie has me reaching for the control to fast forward. More seasonal videos would be good it's fowling season but very little fowling content. Rant over.
  22. Thought NSI owned SIPE and the fiber and plaswad carts were the same with only the wads being different. SIPE is the name of the powder used.

    28 bore

The Yildiz 28bore junior model would be a good gun if she is small or light framed, they come with a shorter stock and 26" barrels. Is she is a bit bigger a Yildiz 20 bore with the stock cut down would be good as she grows the cut off peice could be put back on.
  24. For most price comes first. Cheaper the better. For the serous competition shooter they have a favorite cartridge and like to stick to what they know.
