Gordon R
Not the best finished gun in the world, but excellent value for money and built to last. Hard to go wrong buying one.

Uncle Albert
Are you on a budget or do you just like Baicals? Might be worth saving up a bit more for a better quality gun. Having said that there is nothing wrong with them.
Bazooka Joe
Not the best finished gun in the world, but excellent value for money and built to last. welshwarrior
Good guns stock measurements tend to be a bit short and low in comb from what I remember
HDAV
If it fits great but unless you are built like a Cossack it might beat you up a bit.......
Mr Rizzini
Good guns stock measurements tend to be a bit short and low in comb from what I remember +1 and if its a single trigger you push the trigger forward on most of them to select the bottom barrel first Great gun and dont worry about saving up for a better make as if you pay less then you'll worry less when it gets marked out rough shooting, Check gun fit on it though as mine was very low. CHECK GUN FIT OR YOU'LL REGRET IT NO MATTER WHAT YOU BUY! Edited December 11, 2012 by Mr Rizzini
Big Al
Alot of gun for the money - they even have chromed barrels. As previously said, not the prettiest but would be ideal for your purpose if it fits.
Gimlet
Cheap, ugly, rattly, bomb-proof, dependable and for some reason about the only shotgun I can hit anything with.
krugerandsmith
Cheap, ugly, rattly, bomb-proof, dependable and for some reason about the only shotgun I can hit anything with. Gimlet. I agree .......Think they are made from old .... T32 Tanks ....built to last a lifetime.
humperdingle
Famed for their ruggedness, it's a gun you won't mind getting soaked, dropped in mud or getting scratched. Show my Beretta a barbed wire fence, and she'll pull up her pettycoat and shriek
TbirdX
You bang fenceposts in with it in the morning and hunt your dinner with it in the afternoon. Mine will still be discharging carts long after I'm in the cart after discharging myself.
brent52
great guns, i have a silver pig 1 and an aya 2 but i tend to take the baikal out more in winter has it fits me perfect with all my layers on and i shoot the same with it
GingerCat
Had an ou as my first gun 10 years ago, gave it to a farmer friend, it was 30 years old then and still going strong, never missed a beat and was as good as any gun I've used since but have to say it don't look that pretty. As a hide/rough gun they take some beating. You won't cry either when u scratch it or it gets soaked and covered in mud.
cumbrian shooter
Pretty much sums it up then! Not pretty, hard as a T32 tank, bit short in the stock often, but if you can fix that then they are a gun built to last, the workhorse!!!! MM
built like a tank, and last forever. ive one.

mudpatten
As a point of interest, the quality of steel used in a Baikal is as good as, or better, than that used in many well known European makes.
