955i
Well, despite all my best efforts, the debts that my ex left me with have taken their toll and it now looks likely that I will lose both my business and my house. Can't believe how quickly things can go downhill, but the last week has shown me just how cutthroat banks are! I guess if nothing else I can take satisfaction in the fact that I tried my best. Keep an eye open for my guns up for sale in the near future as I will be selling anything I can to avoid going under.

Don't be shy to ask for help, although money is tight for everyone many of us have time and maybe ideas that could help. All the best. 955i
Thanks for all the good wishes guys, its what makes this forum great! Been coming a while but fended it off until now, but the banks have said I basically have to raise 15, 000 by the end of the month (which isn't going to happen). Ah well, I suppose the next chapter of my life is about to open up. As said, I have my health (well most of it) and I have my two boys. Who could really ask for more? HDAV
Good luck with it chap, I am sure plenty of us could do with 15k by the end of the month I know i could.... but you never know........I work in a construction related industry and know a few others who do. 3 years ago we thought if we could last 2 years it would get better......It got worse. Recently started a new job after being self employed for 6 years.... its a challenge but being paid every month is great! the bosses have targeted 30% growth for the upcoming 12 months! which means i have a target of about 300k Oh well. Paul T
Best of luck mate - been there, done that. I loved being my own boss, but in the end I couldn't get through the last construction industry blip. All I would say is keep one hobby, whatever it is. You need something that's going to be stable and gives you some 'time out' during the months ahead. Last time I kept half a dozen rabbits, but if it happened now I'd definitely keep my damascus barrelled E Harrison, if only for an odd pigeon day. Best of luck mate - hope things turn around for you soon.
Vince Green
The thing to do now is to hide what you have got.
karpman
Try and get the housing association to buy your house, failing that try and get it sold even if its cheap its probably better than what the banks are gonna get for it and still leave you a rather unhealthy debt. remember debt collection agencies have no right to enter your property without your consent, only baliffs by order of the courts. and seek as much help as possible if you haven't already get in touch with the folks who specialised in dealing with debt and for free. good luck bud been there unfortunately.
