shoot and be safe
Once again thank you all for your support and words of comfort, they mean so much to the both of us. I have just got back from my second visit to Marlene today and I've polished off a plate of chicken and chips - I feel so much better for them! The specialist says that Marlene is going to need an op to do something about a damaged valve in her heart but after seeing just how caring the staff on the Cardiac Care Ward are I have full confidence in them and their abilities! Marlene is still having a bit of trouble breathing, they say that this is because the membrane round her heart is inflamed and will take a few days to settle down again. It is quite distressing to see her suffering the way she is but they are doing everything that they possible can to make and keep her comfortable. Having said that she is more able to sit up and laugh and joke with the staff now, which is wonderful to see. I'm going to try to get a bit of an early night tonight as I feel totally washed out so once again thank you all so very much from both Me and from Marlene! And good to read. Good luck to you both. Frenchieboy
Marlene and I are both so touched by your very kind thoughts and well wishes. It has not been an easy time for either of us. Under my thick old skin and "bravado" I am really quite soft and weak compared to some of you. Having friends like you means so much to us at times like this. Marlen is on the slow road to recovery, she can now sit up and have a bit of a laugh and joke with the ward staff who trully are wonderful and so caring, Marlene is a real fighter! She is not completely out of the woods yet and will need a bit of an operation to repair a valve in her heart which is basically wearing out and damaged and leaking a little, but the doctors are going to let her have time to recover from the heart attack before they take that on. I will be visiting her twice again today 9As I am doing each day) and will update you accordingly. jesus mate iv only just read a few post plus yours i so hope shes ok why don't us lot have a collection get her sum flowers shes nearly pigeon watch family Evan tho she don't shoot hows that sound lads pete send us your bank details i"ll stick a tenner in to start it off With regards to your post (Above) and the thread you have started Tony I am so touched I can not describe it in words. I have replied on the thread and said that I would like to put it to Marlene and see what she says, but your kindness (Every one of you) is overwhelming. To me the real thanks really ought to go to The Air Ambulance as without them we most likely would have lost Marlene as she actually had another heart attack while the normal ambulance staff was assessing her. It really was that close to me loosing marlene for ever! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart!
