It's that time again when I take a few people out grouse shooting...it's walked up so it's quite hard work and we will be out for 4/5 hours... I've taken lots out off here who can testify to the shooting...it's more of a taster for those who have not shot grouse before... The Moor is in West Yorkshire... As grouse is the king of game birds I ask you dress accordingly as this is in my opinion the hardest bird to shoot so I like to respect it so no Camo or jeans... Drop me a pm if interested but I do get lots of interest so give me time to reply... Shotguns only/ fiber wads..and you must have insurance and Licence.. This is not a open invitation to return to my moor with out permission as you will be arrested if you do... This is a free offer and I do it each year...you will not shoot a massive bag just a brace or so but it's a good chance to try it out and work your dog if you have one... It's hard work but extremely rewarding - not like having someone drive a pheasant over you you have to work for these birds but it is all the more enjoyable for it. Thanks Dave...it's a free shoot but I do like a glass of wine ;-) but in all honestly I like to watch people's dogs work...I took out DOLLSEYES last season, I think his dog was called Emma and she was fantastic really nice springer and worked the heather amazingly and DOLLSEYES ( Wayne ) shot his first grouse in the mist..a cracking shot if I remember..that's what it's about for me... Your offers are fantastic and give those who may otherwise not shoot a grouse a chance to do so. Good for you and I hope that you have a fair few to shoot. I suspect that they will be late this year.
