Chris Bb
Absolutely: just say yes. Lessons will be learned: we admit we're stupid. You know what I maen: cos I don't. At the end of the day: it will be dark. And that's just a few to start!
Gordon R
Can you scope that for me? Hit the ground running. Let's ring fence that. Blue sky thinking. Let's review the journey so far. All from work. It gives you some idea of the calibre of staff who you have to deal with.

Oh, that's so motivational to your own people.

Laird Lugton
In the cockpit the co-pilot asks, "I'll take the checks" meaning can you run the checklist for which the standard operating procedure call should be "Before start/Before take-off/descent/approach checklist". I hand over the checklist and am met with a dumb look.

Kes
We are where we are - currently cringeworthy - (embarrassing) going forward - ( the future) **** buddy - (intimate friend) in the swim (doing what others do) performance anorak (like to see results) outcomes-focussed (more interested in results) Mega - big/large/ ? But my real favourite and a favourite on here - end of ( self imposed limit) I also hate people who, when you are discussing something of importance say - yeh yeh yeh as though listening is tedious/ they havent time, or they already knew this. Normal language is quite suitable for most of these pathetic phrases.

Thunderbird
Thanks for reaching out to me Agreed, yuk. Can I get... "…like, a skinny caramel latteyyyyy?" said with an Australian questioning intonation. People especially in the media have started saying the word project with an emphasis on the oh in the middle, pro (as in pro golfer)-ject. Why? Why? And my all time (least) favourite; “Get a life” – a phrase invariably used by inveterate thickos who don't understand a concept, an idea, or even the conversation. It’s the last refuge of the ignoramus and should carry the death penalty. Edited February 3, 2014 by Thunderbird
