Don't know why you say its one upmanship as what one like some others don't, we all have differing wants in a coffee and machine or no maker at all. Never thought of one being snobbier than another but that's just me and my tastes.

And what has hard got to do with tastes in coffee strength.

Money don't come into it, pods are as little as 29p so it's not breaking the bank to have a cup or two a day.

I love a good ground coffee in a perk or caffatiere! Love the smell and taste! I love latte, and SWMBO has a Tassimo. I can't stop drinking the stuff. Dowe Egberts make a cracking instant, if the need calls for it. South american beans are my favourite! No, NOT kidney beans either before you ask!

I bought a Delonghi 4200 a couple of years back as a treat to myself. It takes coffee beans, so always a freshly-ground cuppa.

The smell of a freshly made coffee is amazing, and the taste more so.

But anyway, I tend to try lots of different types of bean, but my usual is either Taylors Espresso or Lavazza Rosso.

Surprisingly, the coffee beans Ikea sell are pretty good, albeit not particularly strong.

Love the smell of fresh coffee, but can't stand the stuff,

I'm a northerner and I likes my Yorkshire tea, done properly with a tea bag, a mug, 2 sugars and milk,

None of that china cup and tea pot malarkey ha ha ha
