camojohn
I was out shooting the other day when I tripped over in the hide. This got me thinking, what If I was to really get hurt? Would my wife know who to contact if I don’t come home. I have now put a list up at home with names and numbers for all perms I have. From now on I will tell the wife what perm and Feld I will be shooting in. Do you tell someone where you are going? No remarks about guys having a bit on the side when he should be out shooting. At 64 id rather be shooting pigeons.LOL.

KFC
I have Angina and a random Allergy which means I carry GTN tablets and an epipen so I tell my wife which farm I'm going to and I always make sure my boss knows my exact location and I update him if I move. yickdaz
out of 18 farms i shoot, no one would know where i am im on one farm and then off to another. 10 farms to look at dotted about over a 20 mile radius sometimes I know were I will be shooting due to reccying but can't always do that working fulltime and pretty much the same I go from one to another looking for pigeons so most times I can't pinpoint exactly where I will be or end up
ESSEX ROB
That's a good idea as a couple of years ago I was getting back in the hide and knocked myself out on a branch (lovely scar now) Luckily I came round pretty quick but what if ! Berettacocker
I always tell the missus which field I'm shooting, so if I'm having a red letter day, she knows where to bring the extra shells to!

Grandalf
Yes and she knows who to get hold of if I don't return,I think it gives her reassurance also. Do this too. Plus a time at which I will phone her if I'm out on an early fowling trip. Then if I don't phone at the allotted time - She phones me and I say sorry but I forgot! Then I get to sit on the naughty stair when I get home...

Cranfield
Its something to think about, especially for those of us that always shoot alone. I am usually on the move, shooting more than one location a day, but I often (but not always) call my wife and tell her roughly where I am. Perhaps I should be a bit sharper on this.
