spready
When standing about this time of year i struggle to keep my feet warm, I've got a great pair of berghaus gortex boots that keep my feet lovely and dry but just can't seem to keep my feet warm, two pairs of socks too. what do you guys use? anything you can recommend? looked at the thermal foil and fleece lined inserts , just wonder if they will work? robbiep
Smartwool socks for me ... high quality, and a pair of their winter-grade heavy duty ones will last for ages.
JimLondon
You can get foot warmers, work the same as the charcoal hand warmers, just slip it under the sole of the foot near the toes as you put you socks on. Jim
Bad Monkey
I've tried just about everything over the years. Only thing that works is, keep moving! not always ideal, but true.
superspark
I keep my toes moving as much as possible in my boots which helps, sometimes I've just got to get up and go for a brisk walk to warm up
cuffy
On really cold days , if I know I'm going to be stood still for long periods , I've been wearing a pair of them wellies with a sort of fleece inner boot . Lovely warm feet but no good if you're walking about .

Roly
Merino Wool Socks, highest % of Merino Wool content you can find. Great for wicking moisture and keeping your feet nice and cool in the summer as well. Quite expensive but worth it.

amateur
Pair of silk socks under a decent pair of woollen socks . Harnser I used to find that this combination kept my feet toasty whilst riding my motorbike in winter
Les*1066
I wear neoprene 'socks' over thermal socks. I really hate the cold, but this combo seems to work for me.
100milesaway
Scrunched up newspapers in the bottom of your wellies ,best insulation ever. from Auntie.
loriusgarrulus
Thin pair of cotton socks with a thick pair of wool socks, then a plastic carrier bag over the socks before putting the wellies on. We used this combination when I was younger and the budjet didn't run to Moon boots that were all the rage at the time.
digger
If you are in the hide shooting try a bit of Celotex. sounds daft but get a piece 150 mm thick, notch out around your feet to a depth of 80 mm cover in something to cammo it and when sitting put your feet in. insulates from the cold ground and reflects any heat lost from your foot wear. use the cut out piece to sit on.i promise it works

ack-ack
Scrunched up newspapers in the bottom of your wellies ,best insulation ever. from Auntie. I used to stuff my rubber wellies with meadow hay and change it at lunch time and afternoon tea. Great for trapping moisture and nice and warm. Thankfully neoprene means i no longer have to.
