grrclark
I thought wookey hole was what Chewbacca tried to get on a night out...... But it might have been in a Famous 5 book too. Edited March 20, 2015 by grrclark

ack-ack
Wookey Hole, wasn't that in a Famous Five book? I thought it was from that deleted scene in star wars when chewbacca had his prostate checked.
Frenchieboy
A bit cloudy here but got this video footage. Didn't bother taking the tripod so it's a bit shaky - What a plonker! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sl_u1ArtaGQ&list=UU7Y3ebQYzdwgWJaLmRIQNMA

steve_b_wales
i think the next one is in 2080. The next eclipse is in eleven years time, and a full eclipse is in one hundred years time.

krugerandsmith
Briefly watching through a Clulite IR filter, quite effective although we have some mist floating about which makes it possible to see unaided without any damage to the eye. Is it true Cameron and Osborne are claiming credit for this happening?

Blunderbuss
I tried to get excited about this, after all I'm unlikely to see another. It was sunny and clear skies by us so quite promising, me and the missus decamped to the back garden armed with colanders, cards with pinholes and sundry other high tech astronomical gadgets. It didn't go dark at all, the light went a little odd for a few minutes, then that was it. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was a bit underwhelmed. You shouldn't use a colander to view the sun, you will get strained eyes.....
