fortune
Parker Hale used to make them years ago. chamber adapters are used quite a lot out in the states. I think that they are called "chamber mates".
welshwarrior
Little skeeters or Gauge mate are the main 2 in the states 12 to 410 are ok but 12 to 20 or 28 pattern better the 28s will also offer similar light loads.
spooky87
I had some of the short adapters, we used to use them on the farm for shooting rats they were ok but didn't pattern very well
ChrisAsh
I brought some little skeeters in 12g to 410 and they did not like uk cartridges kept jamming when fired, talked to makers and they said they need winchester AA which they are designed for , so i sent them back, could buy a new gun for the price of AA's these days

Last time I tried 'legally' to ship guns or gun parts from the USA, they stated a $250 export license fee. Question is, would these adapters be considered such? The full length ones work very well but are pricey.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, just thought to say i am having a prototype made this week, this will be tested in a BSA 1980s 28 inch single barrel full choke shotgun 2 3/4 inch chambers . with Eley fourlong 5 shot, just to note yes they will not give the same range like say a normal 410 but i did use one in an old single hammer 12 bore years ago shooting in woods after rabbits out to 20 or so yards, having this made is not going to break the bank but more an experiment, anyway will see how it goes, but then it seems the rabbits have all but disapeared Edited April 1, 2017 by oldypigeonpopper
Guest
You can get them from brownells called little skeeters .just google little skeeters you will find a few who sell them around £50 mark Edited April 1, 2017 by Guest
Pushandpull
Not a difficult piece of engineering but (as above) they should be proved if not for your own use. They do turn up cheap in junk shops and old style auctions as many folk do not know what they are. Eight bore to 12 is useful variation, allowing cheap practice. Shooting a round of skeet with 28g of 7s from a big double 8 tends to make heads turn.

Stonepark
Question is with the availability of 21g fibre clay loads, why would you want a 12 to 410 adapter if you don't want to invest in a 410 as a separate gun?
saddler
Fancy a 12bore to .357 adapter. May get one made up...or a 12 to .45 Colt
